Who Do You Think Will Get Huckabee's Votes?

Which Republican candidate do you think will get Huckabee's votes? Personally, I think it is a split between Pawlenty and Paul because Huckabee also had a lot of the Tea Party influence and those are the favorites. I don't think Romney's going to get them because of the health care. Trump won't even though he is pretty happy to see his biggest competitor not playing.

Most likely one of the garden variety social conservative establishment types. Prbably Gingrich, Palin or the like. I like the Huck man...but I wouldn't vote for him. I don't have a problem with someone being personally conservative, but it has no place in the governance of a liberty founded republic such as ours. The only difference between progressive Democrats and socially conservative Republicans is the particular aspects of our lives they wish to control.

It's hard to say. I figure he has different types of supporters. The Fox News crowd that likes him will likely drift to whoever Fox News promotes the most, likely Romney or Gingrich if they run. Those that like his libertarian ideologies and desire a balanced budget will look to Ron Paul. Right now, no one candidate has enough solid support to call any votes "their votes" in my opinion. The playing field at this point is too broad with very few declared candidates and many that might run.

While I'm sure there were others who would have supported him, I'd guess most of Huckabee's most ardent supporters were the religious right, those who put social issues at or near the top of their list of priorities. For that reason I can't really see them turning to Paul since he's more "liberal" socially or to Romney since he's been both pro-and anti-choice at one time or another and he IS a Mormon. That certainly means nothing to me but it may bother some Evangelists. I'm not really sure about Pawlenty but I haven't seen him do a lot of talking about those kinds of issues. I couldn't possibly imagine them going for Newt Gingrich before last Sunday because of his personal history with adultery and trading in his wives for younger models every few years but after his open disagreement with Ryan's budget plan I'd say he's toast. I guess that leaves us with Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin and Rick Santorum, depending on who among them actually runs. Personally, I think Huckabee is more likable by far than those three, in fact I'd even say he's the ONLY one that's likable at all but obviously there are plenty of people who will disagree with me on this...lol! I know I wouldn't want any of them as our President. Annie

I read a article about Tim Pawlenty today. He in the past has supported Sharia law. Under Sharia law it is not allowed to buy a home that required interest loan payments. Tim Pawlenty supported a bill that would open the door for Muslin's to buy a home on a interests free loan. Mitt Romney very like is the front runner. In one single day Romney picked up 10.5 million dollars.

If Palin were in the race, I would say that she would benefit most from his decision not to run. However, assuming she does not enter the race, I would say Pawlenty and Cain would be most likely to benefit from his decision.

i think the withdrawal of huckabee in the presidential race has opened up to those who have declared their intentions of running. now, those hopefuls may be scrambling to get the endorsement of huckabee. i think the one who gets the supporters of huckabee is the one that huckabee endorses. i think huckabee has shown in the last primary that he has solid support behind him.
