I am making music for a few years now and I really need a new genre. I started with Hip Hop Beats (I am ashamed for that today :D) then I made some House/Dance stuff and at the moment I am totaly on Dubstep but I need something new to get a few ideas because I reached the point when you are starting to make things similar. I mean I am doing it knowingly and thats pretty wirry because I spend much time on a song and then it sounds like something else I made before.
Maybe you know a genre thats not very popular or a very new one! Just give me your ideas!

How about soulful music or mellow music? Something sensitive and from the heart. Girls usually dig this stuff. You'll be surprised even boys listens to this stuff. I think even the older age groups will also appreciate this, unlike rap. It's definitely a big contrast with your usual genre so I think your song will definitely turn out different from your previous one.

Hello Crocki!
I'm glad you are considering my suggestion.
I actually just heard " Together we will live forever" by Clint Mansell today. I searched it in youtube. It's sounds really serene and relaxing. And I don't know why but it also sounds sad. I like it.
Is your music only instrumental? or do you also have someone to sing it for you? What instruments do you use in making music?
Good luck in your music making.

Its a very sad song in my opinion and it sounds like the piano is telling a story thats why I really love this song :)
Most of my songs are instrumental but my goal is to make some own vocals someday. Until this day I am using vocals from my brother or from remix stems and sometimes I find some free vocals on the net and use them. But as I said: Own vocals are coming ;)
For making music I mostly use vsts(A vst is a computer simulation of a synthesizer or any instrument.) or play guitar and piano and record them. Maybe I am recording more often now to get away from this computer sound ;)

I already thought of making some soundtrack like music. something like "together we will live forever" from Clint Mansell. From the technical side it would be possible to make something like this! And you are right it would be totally different from my previous music unimportant if I try to make some soundtrack like stuff or a ballad. You have me on something I haven't even thought of yet! I would find a much larger audience if I would make some mellow or soulful music because everybody is listing to this kind of music (unimportant of their age!) and I think there isn't that much competition then in House or Dance music. That means: more listener + more feedback(!) and I get the possibility to give someone a very special feeling with the music. It is hard to explain my thoughts on this because my english isn't really good but hopefully you get my basic idea ;) So thanks very very much for you comment! BTW: I'm not surprised because I am boy and listen to this ;) But I never thought of making this music too :P ;)

singing is something I am still working on. My voice is very deep so its hard to find some songs I can sing along to train it! But lyrics are definitly something I will make for my music. But its very hard for me to sing at the moment :P anyway thanks for the reply;)
