I have never fully enjoyed travelling until I went to Coron, Palawan, Philippines last April. Aside from the wonderful white sand beaches, clean lakes, I was so amazed by the local people in Coron. I have gained friends including a resort owner who treated us for a free breakfast. Walking around the small town, I came to know of their culture and meeting the locals is the best experience. Not only they were hospitable, which we Filipinos are known for, but they were genuinely kind and gentle.
I will definitely go back to Palawan and explore many of its islands and discover its
wonders!!!

Where exactly in Palawan will you go? I have only been to coron.Food and accomodations are cheap and since its a small town, you can buy everything that you need at their palengke. There are very clean lakes and nice beaches (Malcapuya beach, I suggest) where you can go snorkeling. Majority of their tourist spots can only be reached through a motorized banca so, it island hopping most of the time.

I am very keen on the idea of me visiting the Philipines. I would want to fly into Cebu Island and take a ferry across to Bohol Island so see the Chocolate Hills. Most of all I would like to go to Coron and Palawan. I have seen some very tempting photos of those two places. I love to go snorkeling and do island hopping. I am glad that you are really enjoying traveling now.

I'm happy to learn that you want to visit our country. Please do not miss palawan, it is really a wonderful place! If you love to dive, coron is a diving haven since there are shipwrecks and beautiful coral reefs. And most of all , the local people are very friendly and accomodating.

Yes, there is always a good part of every place you go in the world. Sometimes we are generalizing a minor incident and make it a bigger issue out of things. Philippines is a nice place just like Papua New Guinea.

Philippines has so many islands, each with its distinct and rich culture which you will surely want to experience. I live in the Philippines but sad to say I have not explored even a quarter of the places in my country. It entails time and especially the budget. I hope you get to visit more islands aside from Palawan.

Every country has something to show to its people and we tend to ignore our own country and travel abroad looking for what we can see under our very nose I have done that but I am less guilty in that I have covered several places here too. But if one has the inclination there is so much other countries have that we may not see in our own country.

I suggest you don't confine your travel experiences in one place. There are a whole lot of wonderful places here in the Philippines. I suggest you go to Bukidnon as well. They have a wonderful adventure park: Dahilayan. The place is ultra enjoyable. I had been there last May 1 2011 and it had been a blast! Experience the zipline, it is the longest zipline in ASIA. They have ATV's as well, it is also an exhilarating ride. You get to ride it yourself and maneuver it on their track..which personally at first I was really scared but once you get the hang of the vehicle you would want to re-ride it! There's zorb, horseback riding..lots and loads of fun!
