I can really mess my words up when trying to tell a story on mylot. this really winds me up!
One time, in another lifetime i was telling a story about being possessed by a spirit but i wrote 'processed' instead of 'possessed', thus making it sound like i had some kinky act conducted upon myself which detracted from the whole story.
This causes untold chaos on mylot but people are so nice they never point it out.
i guest i shood just get on wit it and perhips cheque what i right more often.
PS for anyone wondering what frapulate means, it is to talk to much as "he was flapucating" or "he was the king of flapucation"
Plwase don't look it up, i invented the word 10 minutes ago!

First things first. It is a guideline violation pointing out mistakes. Having said that even if you write cheque for check it is none of my business you see!

No it is not a violation to point out mistakes. It is a violation to criticise the use of English by others. If we point out mistakes and help others, respectfully, to get it right then that is fine.
Maybe you will get a part of that cheque now

Are you serious Diana? I truly thought that we were banned from going anywhere where there were errors. I would be delighted to help. Here I go....

To be able to mess up is an art on here
To get it wrong you had to know how to get it right in the first place surely so just carry on and you will do fine

And here I thought that all the art I learned on here was from a certain Frenchman ... who knew I was already so articulated?

Another new one for you. As I was getting fed up of seeing the word 'Yummy' everywhere I made up 'Scrumdelummy'.

You mean it is okay for me to be flapucating, huh I was so worried that my flapucating ways would not be keened by anyone.
Okay friend I am very happy to know that you and I can flapucate together. lol
Although I have to tell you though that my flapucating may out beat yours because you see I am a champ flapucater, I can flapucate for hours on end.

Hi Dear ajk! I think this type of errors or the mistakes can be easily over taken by the constant practice! I think Mylot is a very nice forum for doing so! Here we have members from all the parts of the World and from the countries where English is not their native language or mother tongue! In spite of that these people are participating on this forum with full of zeal and enthusiasm and proving very successful though they might have committed some small mistakes initially! Mylot members are matured enough to understand this problem and they never try to pull the legs for the language on the contrary they help you out in all possible ways! So please keep on posting and yes you can subject your discussion to some spell check programme before posting so that there won't be any spelling mistakes n future! I am impressed with your new word and try to make it famous by using at as many places as possible to get it included in the dictionary! LOL! Thanks ! Happy Mylotting!

"Flapucated" and breading wind?! I didn't think it was polite to talk about our gaseous bodily functions in public.

Hi ajk
Did you know that this is otherwise called creativity? As someone said - many of us lack it. And then here is something better involved too...
When people are from different places, what is important in my opinion is to get across to them - the language is not a barrier... the mindset is and it seems you have overcome that mind-barrier thing... so it is great for you and me and even MyLot

I have overcome that "mind-barrier thing" as well, but in an entirely different way I fear ... I have no mind, so therefore there is no barrier ...

Hello Ajk wow fapucating sounds like a fun word and i am going to use it on my friends! i like inventing words or at least reading about them somewhere and then quoting it to unsuspecting people i love the word 'creeptacular' a person who is supposed to be a spectacular creep!! i am reading a story online which has words like 'Giraffe brained' 'Gay Smurf' and N I N J A actually stands for Naughty, Inspirational, Nosey, Jamaican Antelope! so i love quoting this to everyone i really love that story sounds more like me!! The best i love is Mother of funky monkeys!!
