Have You Ever Had Something Get Stolen?

I have. Most recently, back in November I had my bike get stolen from the inside of my garage while I was out of town that morning. Someone had gone with me and when we got back, we were talking as we were about to go inside. I happened to look over to see that my bike was missing. Fortunately, it did end well for me. In January I did get it back. Unfortunately the people who took it (it ended up being some people who live about a mile from my home) did a number on my bike. At the time it was stolen, I had had my bike for a little over five years. The people had it a month and a half and the seat was torn, the kickstand was bent, the brakes were broken, and the tires were nearly ruined. But thankfully it's nothing that can't be repaired or anything. I was just glad to have my bike back. What about you? Have you ever had anything stolen?

Yes, I had my money stolen from me when I was in college. The worst part was that t was a friend who stole it from me. I am sure that it was one of my friends as I eventually saw my stolen wallet in her bag. It wasn't that big of an amount but the fact that it was a friend caused me not to ever forget it. I was really bummed that she would do such a thing. I was thinking that she could have borrowed the moey from me. I would not even hesistate to let her borrow it. We were so close that I did not really think he would do something like that.

That's too bad that your friend did that. Something like that is even worse when you discover it was someone who was supposed to be your friend. Not really the same thing, but I once had a friend who I let borrow a CD once. He refused to give it back when I asked for it saying he had already given it back to me. I made sure never to let him borrow anything ever again.

I had my first car stolen. It was in an underground parking garage. I will never forget the shock when I went to go to work and the car was was missing. LOL ..I stood there not quite understanding why it wasn't there. I thought about the day before and tried to remember parking the car. Then I went out to the street to see if I parked it out there instead of the garage. It finally dawned on me I had to accept the fact it was stolen. It all turned out ok. I had insurance and the car was eventually found but stripped and my insurance company paid for it and a rental car. It is a very unsettling feel to have something stolen.

I know what you mean. It really is an unsettling feeling to realize you've had something stolen. At least your story turned out okay.

My phone got stolen before and I don't have any idea that it was stolen. It was actually a gift from my boyfriend that is why I'm really frustrated. A concern girl student approached me and informed me that three big guys are following me, one at the back and the other two each at my side. I really didn't notice these guys. She said that they were opening my bag. When I checked my bag, my phone is no longer there. I felt stupid that I haven't notice them but I think it is better that way.

I have had a bike I let my daughter use get stolen. Never did get it back. I have had my new one five years. My grandson recently lost his DSI. He took ever where with him and left somewhere. You are luck you got yours back. I can recall going off on vacation and coming back to find the wind chimes gone that we had on the patio. Weird what people take.

Hi there, Yes, I have had my mobile phone stolen from my bag while braving the street of Greenhills. I bought a second hand vodafone mobile phone at greenhills with my partner. we decided to have a delicious dinner at one of the restaurants in promenade after getting tired and all from shopping. it was 6 in the evening and the street we passed through was real dark. there are guys behind us and they were dressed nicely- no signs that they are planning something real bad against us. when i was about to check my wallet, i was surprised that my bag was left opened. i checked my things and all my necessities are there except from my mobile phone. nyay!

I've had numerous valued item's stolen, my most recent was my NYC hoodie, it was beautiful hoodie and i miss it and its comfortable ways. Its awful to have something stolen especially when the person that did it wont be in custody and get away with it easily. :(

Yes, a schoolmate of mine, unfortunately someone I considered my friend, got my Polo Sport perfume from my school bag.My brother gave it to me. The male friend, used to ask permission to me when he wishes to use it. But, one day.. when I went through my bag, I cannot find my perfume anymore.

During a very difficult time in my life I had quit a bit of money stolen from me. It was very upsetting for me and the ones that stole it, of course wouldn't admit it. It wasn't until a few years later that those responsible for the ones that stole from me actually admitted it. It is very sad that people steal from one another, and it actually hurts feelings when those that are close to you steal from you.

Well, it reminds me a little of my first bike which I really like in my high school, it was also stolen in a garage when I was taking a nap in my uncle's house. it was nearly brand-new because I got my bike only a few months, and the bicycle's design was attractive, so, I felt sad at that time, but my father comforted me saying: "if everybody does not have things stolen, how the thief survive? you could be buy one again and just should be more careful later..." but unfortunately, the same style of bike already sold over,I had to bought another style ...well,good luck for you...
