I would like to lose about 30 pound by fall. But first, I will just start with a more reachable goal like 5 pound by the end of the month. I hope that is do-able? Beside the eating healthier, exercise more, does anyone have any other tips that I can use to reach my goal faster? Thanks in advance for any help..

Substitute some of the high caloric fatty foods and drink plenty of water. This is what I did along with my 30 minute exercise and though I was not big to begin with I was a horrible roller coaster dieter. Practically starving myself. So with my new consistent plan, I lost almost 70 pounds in 4 months and now although I do eat healthy, drink lots of water and still only exercise 30 minutes for 3 days a week. I am able to eat with moderation unhealthy food from time to time, so what I am conveying is that not only consistency but raising your metabolism is the key.

Wow! 70 in four months. I want to do that! The hardest part is getting started. It is so easy to be busy and not follow through... I've started this and is determined to achieve my goals. Thanks.

Hi hardworkinggurl, 70 pounds in 4 months is amazing! I need to lose only about 11-12 pounds, and it's already so difficult. Can walking 30 mins a day, three times a week help me to lose weight? It sounds easy, but I think it's also my diet. I have been eating the same amount but my job scope has changed. I used to me in an active job environment, now my sedentary job requires less movement and more entertaining clients, which adds to my calories. But I'm going to try anyway. I really must schedule the exercise it into my calendar!

Add something like walking and or jogging for only 30mins or an hour. The main thing is that you tell yourself, do you know how fast that 30mins go. Think about if you went to a gym right it would at least take 20min -30 mins to get there. So walking with a plan consistently may just help. I will be routing for you.

I met a 5 lb. goal in about two weeks with the Weight watchers online. I have been on it for a little over 3 months and I am down about 19 lbs now. I lost more the first few weeks and I will admit I gained then had re lose a few pounds at Easter. Good luck!

Thanks, I might give that a look at. Don't they do a lot of calorie counting? I truly hate having to count it and think I would fail miserably if that is the main thing..

They have a points system that is easy to use and if you are on the computer or don't mind the Ap. on your phone it is quite easy as all you have to do is put in what you ate and it will figure it out for you. It does cost of coarse but they have new deals all the time.

Check online for the mediterranean diet. I did a search on diets and it is the only onethat will not make me eat more out of anxiety. You can eat almost anything, provided the amounts are ok.

I do agree tha plenty of water helps a lot. I also heard drinking tea, especially green tea can raise your metabolism, I wish you luck as I am in the same situation as you, needing to lose 30-40 pounds but at this point I would be happy starting with five instead of gaining five more! Good luck!

It is a real challenge for me because I do all the cooking and I enjoy good food! I'm not one of those who eat to fill some void, I just simply enjoy food. I'm not that overweight, but has gain more than I like to after having my kids. I want to keep my weight in line. I don't want my weigh to become an issue with my health later on. Thanks for the good luck and good luck to you too.
