We can always meet people from all over the world in Mylot. United States, UK, Canada, Philippine, Japan, China, India, etc. But I found that we don't have too members from the Arabic world in Mylot. Am I right or not? I am not sure? Can mylot reach out to this region? Why not? Since they will use internet as well. But Why was that we just don't have lots of Arabs members in mylot? Will they just stick iwth their own people even in mylot? Or most of the Mylot people are from America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and Pacific region only? Where are the rest of the world population in mylot? If you know about it or you have something to share with us about this issue,it is your turn now.

Hi,
Before I have noticed this problem...and I thought that this site didn't open to
Arab countries...
and now I wonder why ...because of the politics reasons,or just those people came from Arab countries don't like surfing the net....and they don't like to communicate with the others????
or maybe people in Arab countries like China,,some of them are so rich, they don't surf the net often, and some are very poor, they can't afford the net expense...

I don't think it is because they don't like to communicate to the international community nor they don't like the internet thing..I don't think so, there must be a reason.
And I don't also think that China is an Arab country. Since when did this happened?

maybe it's not in their preferences to join social sites like this since English is not one of their primary languages. But I have noticed them on facebook. I think let's just leave them be. It's really a petty thing to talk about anyway. what I can only say is I'm hoping that the recent conflicts there be finally brought to an end so that the international economy will again be stabilized.

I believe that Arabic people like to stick with their own people. Many of them are conservative minded and hate wide ranging discussions. Lots of them are wealthy enough to be on the Internet. Some of them are too poor to go to an internet cafe. Saudi Arabia is a very closed country to outside influences. Lots of Arabs are busy working for most of the week. They might not have heard of wonderful My Lot.

My Lot is an American site and the discussions and in the discussions are in English. So it has members from other English speaking countries like Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Many European people are fluent in English like the Germans, Danish and Greek for example. I have a My Lot friend that comes from Chile. I have a My Lot friend that comes from Israel so that one is from the Middle East. Many My Lot members come from India and the Philippines because again they know the English language. I have traveled to Jordan and the people were dressed like Laurence of Arabia. They have the sort of life that wouldn't include My Lot is my guess. They might not have found out about excellent My Lot. Only people that know the English language will be able to find out about wonderful My Lot. A busy person won't have enough time to spend on lovely My Lot. Many Arabs are busy people I know.

because mylot's in english? maybe a lot of people from south east asia want to learn english, it is a first language for uk, us, australia and canada, and some mainland europeans already speak it as a second language. other people might not want a social site in a foreign language. other countries that appear to be unrepresented here are france and quite a lot of other european countries, african countries, and south american countries. probably for the same reason.

I think it's really about the language barrier. I think that they're more comfortable with their language. If by any chance, they stumble into a site like this and couldn't really get to relate with the different issues, then why bother. I've noticed it though that most of the mylot users are from the countries you've mentioned. It's all about preferences.

My ex-husband was an Arab. So one factor is that, they want to speak their own language unless it's necessary to use English language. Even some educated Arabs and those who studied abroad still prefer to talk in Arabic so somehow they will not exert an effort to join Mylot. They are more focused on political issues, current news and events specifically Middle East and Gulf affairs.
