My mom and dad took 2 girls, Sweet and Mafi, into our home so they can study.
After Sweet's grandma died, her aunt, who became her guardian, slapped and beat her. Her mom was still alive but she didnt have any means to take care of her so she ended up with us.
Mafi's parents have 14 children. They didn't have money and none of their kids got proper education. To escape poverty her 12 yr old sister ran away with some guy and got pregnant. Afraid that the same thing will happen to her, she ended up with my parents too.
Both of them are finishing high school next year and sending them college will be a huge expense.
Sweet is quite brainy so we are a bit hopeful that she will get some scholarship from a good university but Mafi is not as academically inclined as Sweet and we might have to handle the full amount of her tuition and allowances.
My parents are getting old and I don't want them to handle this big of a burden again. Getting me and brother through college has already been a huge ordeal. They should be retiring now.
I can help the girls but only to some extent because I am also not that financially stable and I would also like to save for the family that I would have someday.
Do you know of any program where we can get some support for Mafi? My mom is thinking that she should go back to her parents but if she does I'm sure she would stop her studies and I just dont want to imagine what will become of her.
I mean we have brought them this far, we might as well soldier on. But it would really be great if we can get some help.

Have you thought about talking to World Vision, Amnesty International or even the Red Cross? These places may help or know of how you can get help for these girls. I wish you the best in finding a way to help the girls.

If they don't offer the sponsorship you are after, they may be able to help you find some companies or charities that do offer the sponsorship.

hi ddaguno,
There are lot of foundation who can help this two even the other one is not brainy that will be fine as long as she can maintain her grade
Maybe you can seek help to Politician's Education Program as far as I know Jollibee Corporation has a scholarship program you just need to apply there under this program if you pass the exam you can work with them in the exchange of school expenses if they have a good work performance and grades this company will provide work for them after their graduate.
happy mylotting

There are so many Foundations that help. You could locate one in your area. There could be international Foundations as well who extend financial help internationally. With proper documentation and after completing the necessary formalities I am sure you could get the help you are seeking. I did some search for you and found the following: http://search.yahoo.com/search?webSrchInput=education+foundations&searchbutton=WEB+SEARCH&ei=UTF-8&fr=ush-mailc&p=education+foundations

If the person are a high achiever in my country then can apply for government grant and some numerous corporate study loans or sponsorship from banking to petroleum industry. Beside that some tycoon also got their education funds trusts and some political parties too. However, your need to be high achiever. BEside that there are some governemnt fund that give loans studies and can be paid after graduation and working.
