Gossip---do you have neighbors who are so into this thing?

People loved to talk gossips. That's why talk shows are very popular. In our neighborhood, people mostly keep to themselves. Credit it to the fact that almost all people have jobs. It is not uncommon in a community to spot a circle of chismosas-gossipers, especially in a close knitted barangays such as in the slums area.It is their way of entertaining themselves.

Yeah, and I hate it so much...they can't just leave me alone!!!! I think people like this are the people who are not satisfied with their lives that's why they look at other's faults to make themselves feel better, they seriously need counseling!!!!

One usually thinks oif a woman when a gossiper is mentioned, but my husband is as bad or worse than any woman I've ever known.

I am fortunate at the moment not to have neighbors who have to gossip about me. I have had neighbors in the past who gossiped just because they could. people don;t realize how much damage just a little gossip can do.

Yes, not just my neighbors but anywhere I go. Whether in the office, department stores, groceries, even churches, gossip is part of the everyday routine. It's sad but that's the reality. And before you know it, even though you keep your nose clean a lot, you are the talk of the town already! Sad! :(

Hi. Cutie18f. If I have neighbors that are like this, I would not know about it at all. The neighbors that live around me always seem to stay to themselves. The guy and his wife that used to bug the heck out of me has moved out this month. So, he no longer comes over here to aggravate me and my husband anymore. I am not into gossiping and nor do I ever engage into it too with my neighbors. I have never lived in an area that I can remember people gossiping about each other. I used to live in an apartment complex and the neighbors stared at my family a lot without talking to us at all. I did not like this and it made me feel very uncomfortable.

Well, me and my family aren't on talking terms with the neighbors living in the front door and don't get time to talk with others cous my parents are working and for me, i don't care. :p we had good neighbors where i lived a kid, but they never gossiped or i was too lil to notice. uh, but i have my cousin who is 4 years younger than me and i think she loves gossip, she wouldn't even leave her close relatives out of it. She is so good at backbiting already and she just turned 16. She would use people and really would btch at their back and would btch to them about the other people she was gossiping with a minute ago. How did she turn into such a freak, i love my freak, :p but really .

Fortunately, our neighbor's houses are a bit far from each other because of the vacant lots, so gossiping i think, isn't possible. All are busy with their respective jobs and studies, so we don't have time to group together to talk. We only nod and smile when we see each other outside, when we are on our way to our offices and vice versa. But i do hate gossiping and hate gossipers. I avoid them, lest i would be like them too.

Gossip is undoubtedly a national sport in my country where many pensioners and jobless people spend much of their time gossiping and sometimes inventing things about others.It looks like they really enjoy doing it,but I consider them harmless,they can't affect me as long as they don't interfere with my life,so my philosophy is very simple concerning this matter:let them talk as much as they want,that's all they can do.

I sadly don't really know my neighbors. I do know two of the families in the neighborhood but that's all. I don't think they're into gossiping though.

Hi! Cutie. Are we neighbors? Lol. Your description of your neighborhood matches mine. My neighbors are so into gossiping. From dusk til dawn. They hang out near the mini stores. Watching and observing their next prey. Its really annoying. They should do something productive than to talk nonsense. Its like that they have skills in forming stories and topics. They will never run out of subjects. Thats the reason why i never go out.

Look I only allow four persons speak about me, father, mother, sisters, brothers. people out of my circle will be attacked with bad words. The respect demands respect.

YES, oh my god, its like a neighborhood watch with jokes and poking at people. We had a broken lawnmower for about a week and our lawn was looking pretty shaggy...we had our neighbor come over with his lawnmower and offer to mow it, which alone was nice, but he added that the neighbors had been talking and didn't think our lawn represented to street well...we dont live in a gated community or anything and our house is at the end of the road...but alas we got a free mowed lawn out of the deal.

Where I live there is not mch else to do and everyone knows everyone else. Gossip is a way of life out here and I usually don't mind it but when it get s very malicious, I want no part of it. There are only a few people who spread nasty comments on others lives and I think this is wrong.

With communication being what it is today one hardly finds anyone getting together to gossip but I am sure there will be phone calls and emails exchanged. It hardly bothers me really as I attach no value to opinions of others if they are based on hear say.

I have 4 renters, when the ladies are free, say during noon or evening, they sit in the lawn in front of our home and gossip, the topic starts from A and ends at Z, guess things are similar around the globe, lady gossip more, men are less talkative, bit reserved.. For me, I don't have too much times to chat with my neighbors. My wife and I are busy from day to night everyday. Whoever are free to gossip around should be those who are not well educated. They minds are not concentrating in their works for the betterment. But they are observing around to talk about other people. I am very scare of these people. To avoid unnecessary gossip, I try not to talk too much to them. ha! ha! They are really talent in gossip.

oh yes they are! hahaha i live in a sudbivision. but people here are very active into gossiping i think they should put up a "Marfori Heights Subdivision Gossip Association" hahaha
