are herbal medicines safe?

medicines that are made from plants are rampant nowadays. yet, many people believe in the effects of this drugs and they used this as an alternative for the medicines that the doctors really prescribed.
im just curious why they choose this drugs that says also that " no approved therapeutic claimed?"..
is this safe?.. im afraid to take this drugs and concern..

Seriously,you can't find any medicine safer than herbal as long as you follow doctor's instructions.

Actually, drinking a plants as a medicine is safe as long as you know its limitations and its functions. alright? 
but they said that you must be careful of what plants you are drinking because sometimes you are just mistaken that this plant is for the cure of your sickness. You must study first or search first its ability.

If a person knows what they are doing yes- in fact, they are better than using most modern medicine.
