I've got as good one ! Which in your opinion is the most important factor that affects your national or individual culture? Can you give a few reasons? I am asking this because I have to write an essay and I pretty much want to write about something new.. I am foreseeing quite a good discussion!

Culture pretty much stems from history and ancient beliefs, I guess. That's from my history subject. Every culture came about from our ancient people and their beliefs of how stuff should be done.

THere are lots of reason and it starts when you are younger... What your parents taught you, What you see growing up, Your surrounding, Your Friends, Society and list keeps going on. Mostly its what you take in from all that.

Briefly following are the factors which in my view affect any nation's or individual culture: 1) The family background 2) the standard of living 3) The value system prevailing in the family 4) Climate conditions - cold/very cold place 5) Basic nature of people - some are aggressive and some are not 6) Political system in the country 7) Practices already in use 8) the importance parents give to their children and the importance children give to their parents.

I guess media has created a great impact on our national and individual culture. It has the power to influence people to think and to behave in a certain way. We are all affected by what media is feeding us through its different medium consciously and subliminally.
