I just saw on the news footage of the Queen arriving in Ireland and the national anthem being played. I realised then that she probably hears that tune every single day of her life, maybe more than once a day. Considering her advanced age, how do you think she feels about this tune? Do you think she's sick of it, or does she enjoy it every time?

I'm betting she already is sick hearing that same tune over and over again. When I was in highschool we sing the national anthem every week.. that's every week, and I already got sick of it. What's more if it's everyday.

I don't know if that matters to her much. I mean she might have a lot of things in her mind. I read the knews in BCC this morning. Many criticize her visit that cost 30 million euros for the entire security to ensure her safety. She might be at peace hearing it

well i dont know if she would hear it every day but it must get sort of tiresome after awhile but this is part of her duties as queen right? however, it does speak of having pride in one's national anthem and one's country. do teachers get sick of hearing their countries national anthem as it played pretty much every school day?
