Oh, Oh, Oh....

I got a call from the school I applied, just when I have decided to work in a contact center and I'm positive I'm going to be hired, I will have an interview this afternoon at 2p.m. I've decided to go, because teaching is really my first love, but I'm still going to my final interview tomorrow... What would you do if you were me?? Would you do the same or not?? I'm giddy with hope that I might be able to teach this school year but I won't get my hopes up in a very high level so as to avoid disappointment...but still, i'm so hopeful

Hi marapplestiffy...One thing I discovered in my lifetime is to always follow your dream. You don't have to quit your present job just yet. It sounds like your heart wants to teach, so follow it or you will regret it later in life. Follow you HEART and your DREAM and never let go!

I totally agree with you Menace , that she should noy quit her job just yet. She has to weigh and feel which job gives her happiness and monetary satisfaction at the same time. Yes, she has to follow her heart too.

menace is right! I'm young and my mom always told me she want me to be like that, like this.. but my heart belongs to the computer! My life is really attached in computers that's why I'm taking up BSIT and Mom can't refuse, because this is what I love! I'm following my heart!

Glad to hear you got this call and have this opportunity. Keep a positive spirit and all will go as it is supposed to go. I believe in fate and what will be will be. Nothing much more for you to do. I would just stay as positive as I could and keep the goal in mind at all times.

Well, perhaps the other would have been good experience and something to add to your resume. Hope this other one pans out for you.

sadly though I was in for a disappointment because they were not actually looking for teachers but for assist teachers, it would still that I won;t be able to teach since I'd just be the one to manage and look out for the classroom...I declined the job opportunity and I went to my final interview yesterday in a contact center...I'm awaiting the results right now...

Personally if this was something that I really wanted to be doing, over somewhere I was working only until the right thing came along, I would be jumping at the chance and hoping that this would be the Best for me as well. It is really important when working for someone that you will always enjoy being there for sure. It makes you more happier and you will usually do a better job there as well.

i would have definately followed what i wanted to do in the first place. Things and opportunity come and go but i would chase the ones that i most desire. if you are in love with teaching then chase that. And one more thing, i don't think you should go for the interview at the contact center then as you being selected would mean that another person in need of that job would be out. Since you want to teach why try for the contact center, ou might get the job at the contact center and not take it, which would leave another candidate without a job! Anyways, do what you want to, if it make you feel better to give the interview....go ahead with it.

Strive for the best result. If you do not, then it might come across your interviewer that you are not that interested in the post you are applying for. Be positive and expect the positive result. But do not be afraid of being rejected, just figure out what you can do better next time. Strive for what you want. Do not let fear hinder you. God Bless your interview.

If I were in your shoes, I would definitely follow where my heart leads me and where I could enjoy working in. Having a job is really hard especially when you really don't love your work. Just follow what your heart desires.

I have no contact center experiences yet so I won't be able to say that I don;t like that job, I might though and I want to try for now that there are no schools hiring teachers for the school year..

A good idea would be to hang on to your present job while you find out and decide on the other one. I would go for it if it is your dream job. What I usually do in situations like this is hope for the best with the knowledge that I will be able to cope if the end result is not what I hoped for. I call realistic optimism! Good luck, keep us posted on how you go...

Hello apples, I am not sure what to say but you gotta set your priorities and weight on the most important part for your opinion. am not sure, i'd probably pissing my pants being too nervous getting on another freaking interview. but if you don't focus, chances are you might loose both because you're kind excited right now. good luck anyways.have a nice day

here in my country, people just send application letters to all the companies and institution that they feel like working in. and every time they get a call for an interview they would accept them all. cause in the end, it still depends on the applicant where she would like to work. so if she is interviewed and accepted in 2 different jobs, it's still up to her which job she'll take. but our country is different from yours. people here do do what is said above because it's so hard to find a job. but if it's easy to find a job with good salary here i dont think people will have hard time sending their application letters to tons of companies.

Just go ahead and go through the interview. It is another option for you. After which, evaluate among the two opportunities. Good luck on your interview later. Break a leg!
