I Color My Hair

I am 66 years old and going grey. I color my my hair and it makes me look so much younger and feel so much better. I use Revlon ColorSilk and am very pleased with the product. But it is messy and sometimes a pain to use. I also worry about damage to my hair. I do my hair about every two to three months, usually putting it off a week or two for the reasons that I have just described.
Thus, I was glad to find that TRESemme has developed a shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair. These products help retain color for up to 40 washes. The shampoo washes without stripping color and the conditioner helps lock in color. These products can be found at your supermarket or big box store. A 15 ounce size is less than $5.00. Real good deal!!!
Furthermore, the shampoo and conditioner make my hair look and FEEL great.
But I got an even better deal. I got my products free because I am a bzzagent for bzzagent, com. I have fun bzzng about products and services. And I get samples or full size products for doing so. If you have any interest in being a bzzagent, check out bzzagent.com. And if you wanted to give bostonphil as your referral, I would get credited.
And if you want to check out the shampoo and conditioner that I have just written about, the name is TRESemme Color Revitalize Shampoo and Conditioner.
Have you tried these products yet? What is your experience? I colored my hair about a month ago. I only began using TRESemmme about two weeks ago. I will not know for about another three weeks or so if my color appears to be lasting longer.

I am a bzz agent as well, but I did not get the Tresemme campaign. I was going to start coloring my hair again, and had colored it twice, but I have started swimming again, and I feel like that is too much for my hair to take and the color will bleach out because of the pool. Being a bzzagent is a lot of fun. I did the Lip Perfection Lipstick campaign and the two free lipsticks were great. My next campaign was the NatureLuxe foundation and lip balm. Tbe natural ingredients like cucumber and jojoba really make my skin feel great and they look good as well. It is a good program. Of course this is not a referral link and we do not get anything for this post. I do wonder how many MyLotters do bzzagent.

I can report the post as bzz. I also am working on the NatureLuxe campaign.
Why don't you post a question and ask how many mylotters are also bzzagents. Maybe we can start a group.

I think both of us can report this aa bzz. If we post about being bzzagents, it needs to be in a non promotional way.

You are allowed to bzz about the NatureLuxe products. And report it as bzz. But remember to be honest about being a bzzagent.
And you can begin a discussion about being a bzzagent as long as you do not post a referral link.

that's good and having a new look makes everyone feel better. When adding color to your hair, professionally at a salon, or at home, you are taking a huge risk of not liking the color and also of doing more damage to the health of your hair.Even professional hair-colorists cannot guarantee that the shade of color you want will come out as you imagine. It's much more likely to happen if you are doing it yourself (or having a friend apply the color) at home, and are inexperienced. If you've had your hair dyed professionally and do not like it, it is not such a good idea to return to the person who colored it initially.
i haven't tried dying my hair.i just love my natural hair color.

Wait until you begin to go grey and see if you like it. I loved my natural color which was black-brown. I do not love grey. That is why I color my hair. I wash out the grey.

I also color my hair but not to cover grey. I do it to change my look. I used to buy shampoo/conditioner for color treated hair but stopped because they are so expensive. But they do make the color stay a little longer. I started using them again using coupons. I get them from the newspaper or by calling the manufacturer directly.

oohhh....! i always want to color my hair! hehe i wanna do a very hot fuchsia pink or a certain shade of red.. hehe but i dont think i can do that. well i think for mom it will be fine but since i live with my uncle and aunt and grandparents i will receive tons of comments and i bet they will hate it (they always hate everything in me especially my grandma). so perhaps i will be able to color my hair if i already have a job and im earning, that way they wont discriminate me that much.. and besides, i wont color my entire hair, just some parts of it.. :)

Good on you bostonphil! What is most important is you feeling good about yourself and everything around you will all be good because you feel good. I think older people should stop taking to account their age and start doing something for themself that they could enjoy!

I haven't tried those yet.But I do color my hair. I am 49 and have a little gray.It wouldn't show up as much if my original color wasn't so dark. My original is dark brown and grey doesn't look good with dark brown. So i color about every 2 months. I use the color silk brand.Or I will get a brand from sallys beauty supply every other time.
