Absolutely Awful (And Suprising!) Weather

I currently reside in central New Jersey. I know there are massive rainstorms incoming towards the Atlantic but, from all of the weather channels I've watched, they all say the rain will just bypass us. but form looking out my window or actually going outside, it doesn't seem to be missing us. My family has gotten around 2 inches this week and the rain continues still. Is anyone else experiencing surprise severe weather?

I am in PA now but I grew up in Central NJ and where I was had some swamp land. It has flooded over and over again this spring and seems as though it will do so some more. Here too we have had way more rain then normal and my poor basement hasn't been dry in two months. So tired of the flash flood warnings and the flooded creek in my back yard.

I live in southern california. we've had some pretty strange weather all year - strange for so cal, because we don't have real seasons or weather. But, last night we had a storm blow thru, it rained all night (unusual for this time of year!) & now looking out the window, you can't even tell it rained @ all. clear skies with little clouds. it's weird for us! we've had massive storms earlier this year too- all of our lakes, rivers overflowed & we had lots of flooding.

I live in New York. This weekend past I saw that we would be getting alot of rain this week. But I definitely was not expecting this! You would think it is April with all the rain we are getting. Right now I am hearing rain in my house since I have a small leak in the kitchen. It is also much cooler than it should be as well.
