I had put up a post about a little boy whose body was found along the side of a road in Maine. Today they put up another article about how they now know who the boy was and that it was his mother who killed him with an over dose of medication. This is so disturbingly sad. Our prayers and thoughts are freely given to little Camden and those who did care about him down in Texas.

What a sad story. The article leaves me with alot of questions. Where was the real father? Why did she give him and over dose? If he was in a gifted and talented class at school he wouldn't seem like the type of child she might have behavioural problems with or anything. Why would she kill him? I am always curious about what leads people(especially mothers) to do such horrific things.

I guess so. I am always so curious about what makes people do such things.

I think there will be many questions left unanswered and those that are will lead only to even more. It is not something to be understood when a mother kills a child which is inhuman as it is our nature to protect our young.

Sometimes the need to understand is just really strong.

It's a heart wrenching story. How could a mother do that to her child? Just a thought of something bad would happen to your child is already horrible, what more killing him yourself? This mother must be psychologically disturbed. Nobody in her sane mind could do such a thing to the flesh of her own flesh and blood of her own blood. If it was an accident, she should have tried to ask for medical help for her child. Hopefully, no more horrifying news such as this, would happen in the future..

No one really understands her and in truth that may be for the best.

This is so sad to hear... Not only the fact the boy was so young but the fact that a mother can take their child's life. To me it's a mental illness when parents do that. I will definately be praying for him and all other stories like his.

Simple overview:
Body of a 4 or 5 yr. old boy found on side of rural road in Maine. Does not meet any missing child reports in tri state area. A woman in a truck was seen on that rd the day before.
Next day they found woman from truck was boys mother who killed him with an overdose of some sort of medication.
That's the gist of the story, so sad.

This is a heart breaking story. I was so saddened reading the news story and disgusted with the mother as well. First of all, it is hard to "accidently" overdose on medicine. How much did she give him? Did she not read the dosage like every other mother does? Doesn't sound like much of an accident to me. Secondly, if it was an accident why did she not call the authorities and explain that? She just panicked and then dumped his body. She treated him like a piece of garbage and should be ashamed of herself!

or not bring him to the ER to try to save him. If you do accidentally give too much medicine you take your child to the doctor or the ER.

Such a sad story..and even sadder..it is becoming the story of many children. The people that brought them into this world are the ones that have taken their lives..so very depressing when you think how huge this problem is becoming. I just can't understand it.
I have known of people putting tylenol or other medicines in the bottles of babies before..to help them sleep during teething or to ease them if they are sick..but it is just flat out dangerous to do so. I would never add anything to my children's milk. Medicine is dangerous even if it is sold over the counter. I know that is not the case here..with the bottle..but it reminded me of how shocked I was when I learned there were parents that did it. I actually had someone suggest it to me when my daughter was teething. I looked at them and asked..are you kidding me? Noway.

In the last days there will be those who are...without natural affection.
I believe this means just what we see here, mothers who can kill their child and leave him beside the road like that.
God will welcome him into His arms. Even if the person called 'mother' did not.
I can not bring myself to even read the article or look at the picture.

May she roast in Hell. The angels will keep him safe from any other harm.
