Anime Fillers are those episodes that don't relate to the main plot. Examples of these are: (1)Bleach - Don kan'onji episodes and the whole Bount Arc. (2) Naruto - I think it was from episodes 136 - 157 or up to 220 and many more.
Anime fillers annoy me. It prolongs the story. Only a few makes sense. Some of it's episodes tend to be animated really bad. I just get angry when the original story gets added. Some of those fillers are probably for comedic purposes but they can't even make me laugh.

Do you read Bleach manga? If you read the manga, I'm sure you know that currently, the anime has already caught up with the manga. The manga is only 20+ chapters ahead. If you read the manga, I'm sure you also know how much content there is in 1 chapter. I usually finish 1 chapter in less than 3 minutes and I think that says it all. Since the anime is catching up with the manga, and the manga is progressing at turtle speed, this means we can expect at least a year of fillers!
I hate Bleach Fillers too and that's the reason why I haven't watch a single episode of Bleach since the end of the Arrancar arc.
Naruto/Naruto Shippuden fillers bore me too. One Piece fillers are not too bad. Gintama has the best fillers! Whether fillers are good or no good, they are necessary, though sometimes I think that anime like Bleach and Naruto Shippuden should just end or go on a hiatus to wait for enough manga chapters to be accumulated.

I had a Naruto marathon about few months ago. I skipped the filler portion. I think it covers more than 20 episodes. My friend says he's been watching Naruto filler for more than 4 months already. It is really disappointing waiting for an episode that will turn out to be a filler instead.

Hi dranreb!
Most fillers in Bleach are annoying especially that Don Kan'onji story and the episodes on Kon. I hate those episodes! It's corny, annoying and nonsense. There were fillers in Fairy Tail, too that I did not really like! Made me feel like I want to quit watching that anime.
But there are good fillers, too. Made me laughed one way or another. I think fillers can be good if there are only a few of them and if the story is good. Sometimes I feel like taking a break after one story arc so I welcome these fillers. Just not the bad ones.
Cheers.

So far, the only annoying fillers that I watched is from Naruto. Fillers from Fairy Tail is still alright. I can still manage with it. But from Naruto? I can't watch all of them, I need to skip episodes, too much filler. Heheh

I dont really care much if an anime series is long but its length should be justified and all story archs must be connected. But Anime fillers for the sake of making the story longer but has no relevance to the main cannon is a bit annoying. I think What I love about the Dragonball series is how the writer makes everythign kinda connected but its not the case in what we are having now with Naruto. I still love Naruto but I do admit I am skipping episodes now.

I'm also skipping those fillers. There's really a lot of them in Naruto. I agree with you, some fillers are not really relevant with the story. It does not even contribute to the story.

I encountered a lot of these fillers in Naruto. Fillers that are really too much. I think about 20 episodes in Shippuden are almost filler.

Anime fillers is made because they have to keep a distance between the manga and the anime. It would be nonsense if the anime released the same story a week after the manga released. It would make the mangaka or the creator of the manga didn't get money from manga selling because less people are buying the manga.
And filler usually make the untold story in manga, so any story that are left unclear or mysterious will be revealed in anime

If the filler is about a mystery in the story. Or let us say an untold story, that's fine with me. But there are annoying fillers about flashbacks. It is like watching the episodes from the beginning.

Hi dranreb1986!
Anime Fillers are boring and deviate from the main story. This is the reason why I choose to stick to reading manga. :)

Fillers are there to enable the authors of the manga to have a decent 'distance' from the TV show as against the actual manga. As it is really very hard to maintain the TV show and the manga at the same time in the same place in the overall story.
I do agree that some fillers are just plain boring and irritating to watch. Other fillers are quite okay though. Examples are the Bounto Arc in Bleach. Those fillers episodes are I think the only filler arc I watched that did make me want to watch the next episode after episode.

There's a lot of this fillers specially on those long running anime. I think they add this fillers so the manga will be able to catch up. Though most of time, these fillers can really be annoying. I'm actually looking forward for the next episode and this filler will be aired instead which is not related to the main story, I get annoyed most of the time as well.

I don't like fillers especially if I am really waiting for that episode and it turns out it's just a filler. I especially hate the fillers in Naruto. It was like a hundred episodes was fillers and because of that, I got tired of watching Naruto. I just switched to One Piece lol.
