How is 2011 going by so far??

My year got off to a bad start. I had to leave my job in China to come back to America for medical treatment. I found out I had a recurrence of the ovarian cancer that I had back in 2003. I was turned down for medicaid for January because I had too much money in the bank, but when I talked to the people yesterday, it turns out that I got my account down under the limit before the end of the month so they went ahead and approved me for January so my hospital bill will be paid for (that and the fact that I got approved for SSI and disability were the only good things that have happened so far this year). I started chemo in March and have had problems off and on since then. My nephew was killed in a motorcycle accident two weeks ago. I am hoping things will start going better for me soon because I don't know how much more I can handle. Have a great rest of the year!!!

You have talked a lot. But you have not told what is the problem. for me 2011 is fine. Good. I am now with my son in USA and also having nice time with grand son. I wish you should get all success in 2011.

I can't say 2011 sucks because there were also good times. So far it's the usual; work, friends, family, etc.. Everything seems to be repeating. The only difference is I'm already 26 years old.

Well every end of the year and welcome the new year we make plans and promises to ourselves but the thing is we need not wait for that time as every moment is the time for planning and making adjustments for what has been started and for mistakes and wrong moves that have been met and done.We should not get frustrated keep on with your trial and error for actually we have still more years to come to make up for our losses and defeats, make 2011 the start of your challenge,remember you have got your experiences as part of your learning process. My year is going pretty good. Sure there are some struggles but when isnt there? I have a good jon, a good home, great family, and a loving boyfriend. Aside from a few friends everyone is in good health. I may not accomplish my goal this year by its only May im not giving up yet. You shouldnt either.

well, since 2010 ended so badly, it couldn't really get a whole lot worse, so, I would say that it is improving...

Not really bad at this point, but still hard for me, knowing I am still working things out to settle the last year's debts and still planning to settle more this year, not mentioning those we are targeting to do and accomplished for my family and myself personally. I have worries of course, but I pray always and ask God's intervention, with His mercy everything will be fine for sure. If in the end, things will not turn out the way we wanted it to be or we planned to be, it's probably because God has better plan for. Let us seek His will and learn to listen more closely to Him. He will not fail us.

My 2011 is going way to fast! Ugh! I have not done anything I had planned to do! I have not even tried to get my weight undercontrol! I still can't save money! I had a case of hemerriods that only recently healed leaving me with a rash in the same area! I am still working on getting rid of that! Had a colonostomy! Ugh! I lost my part-time job! Long story how that happened! Maybe the rest of the year will go better!

Oh, a day at a time..just like all the rest. Still not working due to the heart failure, but working towards that goal, getting stronger as it goes. No sign of the system giving even a smidgeon of assist to a unemployed swb, but over the top from friends both off and online..Basicly, if I focus on the negatives its been a loser year. If I focus on the positives then its been a major blessing..shrug..enjoy!

Just like you, I had high hopes for this year. I had great hopes of bettering my career and other aspects of my life. I had high hopes on having to pay out all my debts. I had hopes of reading more books than I can, watch more movies and travel as much as I can or even lose the weight and be as fit as I can. I had hopes of making the most out of my time but unfortunately, some things didn't turn out the way I wanted them to. Time management had always been a problem of mine and as far as I know, I haven't really done something rewarding that I could consider. Well, the year is almost done with as we approach half of it but I still remain hopeful.

This year just seems to be a continuation of the last 2 years for me. Very bad and very depressed. I do not see this year getting any better.

Hi there, 2011 is pretty bad so far. My ailment's been bugging me for the past several months... I am having problems regarding with my school. My family is expecting me to graduate next year but i still have classes to attend to on summer... :( i do not have the courage to tell them the real score because i know they would feel real upset most specially my mom... i don't want to disappoint her again but what i can do? :( i am frightened of going home tonight... :( sigh.... i feel like my life is doomed...

Sorry to hear that! mine is going good so far...remember to think positive if you can't achieve some thing this year don't dispair you still have next year to do so! small steps take us where we want to be at the right time.

talking about this year 2011 has brought lots of problems to me, since the year is been started my problems have increased, I dont blame for as a bad luck year but iam making my mind that in life we can not always expect good things. When happy moments are there we are so cheerful in life and want all these moments to stay forever, but when the opposite happens we think when is this going to end. Well my friend whether 2011 is sucking for me its same for me. But this is life and we have to learn also difficult ways, why not you not that 2011 is going to teach me lots of things from the mess that is been made. Just renew your mind and you will see things brightly

2010 was filled with blessings and charity works which friends and strangers had asked me and my group to do. We had gone to different places in remote areas here in our city due to charity works which were asked of us. I had also received lots of gives from friends, relatives and even from acquaintances. Now 2011, the charity works are yet to be begin and gifts still come my way. My family went on a vacation at my husband's hometown in Luzon and to my surprise, they gave us lots of money and brought us to nice places which we haven't thought of going. Such a blessing that have touched my heart. One surprise which I had to turn down from friends is a free trip to USA. It's everyone's dream here in my country but not mine. The offer is too much a blessing for me to accept it thus, I laughed it off and said that I don't deserve such a gift. Besides, I'm not much into travelling. My hometown has been my comfort zone and I'm happy staying here for the rest of my life. But if fate will make go to US, then I will enjoy life there. The luck and blessings continue to appear in my 2011. Hope it will continue till the year ends.

Hmm... to me, so far 2011 has felt like twilight zone. =P I don't know. It's hard to explain... It's like I'm suspended in air, or floating... trying to move forward, but I'm not. There's noise, but it's quiet... too quiet... it's depressing. And I don't make sense... .

For me 2011 has opened some new doors and closed others. I made some good decisions in regards to my future but not so much at my current state. I don't make hardly any income currently and as a traveling musician, its hard to find ways to make money online. In 2011, I progressed very far as a musician which was actually my goal at the start of the year, but now that I feel comfortable at my current state its time to go one step further and start working in some form which complements what I do. Its still quite a mystery whether or not 2011 will turn out good or bad for me, but I can only hope for the best
