Are video games a waste of time?

When I was around 16-17 years old I had a strong addiction to playing games online all the time (even in school). I still occasionally play games on my computer, but tend to stay away from the ones that get you "sucked in" so to speak and some even make you pay monthly fees. How do you guys feel about games in general? Would you describe games that don't get you addicted still a waste? Sometimes I like to have a bit of fun on my own, but more and more I realize that I can do other things that are just as enjoyable to me.

i also play video games, and i think that you really should play the games that you are "sucked in", but try to noy "overplay" it. because thats like if you only saw weak movies, because you are afraid of being addicted to best series... and if you really cant play much time because of work/school just put a timmer (:

I love video games, they are a blasty blast. That said, I have been playing less and less these days. I miss some games I cannot play. I think it is because my financial situation has changed and it's getting hard to afford video games. Play as much as you want as long as you don't start neglecting your basic needs. Also, if it isn't fun anymore, make sure to have plenty of backup plans.

I agree that playing games is a waste of time. I used to play computer games a lot years ago and could play till early in the morning. Now I am starting to be addicted to games again and it does affect my working efficiency though I am getting a lot of fun from it. Take care, quadj.

The video games are made for people who want to get some fun.But my advise is to try exit this kind of life because your world is not a video game and if you play more and more video games , you will stay all the day to play video games and you will waste your time.Is more better for you to try go with you friends to play football,or try to a party or try to have a girl friend.
