my hamster is such a picky eater.. one day she likes this food, but then doesn't eat it the next day and looks for another one.. Then i give her lots of food in one container- but she just smells some of the food and then picks the ones she likes..Can't she just eat the same thing every day. What other animals are picky eaters?

Humans are the pickiest eater of ALL the animals...And Cats come in right behind the humans!!! I have 3 dogs & 2 cats. If I put it in their bowl, ALL 3 of the dogs eat like they're starving!!! The cats beg & beg me to feed them & when I sit their bowl down, they turn their nose up & walk off. One of the dogs just loves it when they do that as she sneaks into the kitchen to wash the cat bowl for me!!!

If it don't bite me first...I eat it!!!! My preacher says we spoil our children too much. That if we would let them get truly hungry (no snacks between meals), that they'd eat anything we put on their plate. Maybe it's the same thing for my cats!!!!

A lot of animals and humand are picky eaters. cats are so finnicky and they can be quite picky at what and how they eat something. You have to wonder what goes through an animal's mind when they come across a food they really dont want to eat.

Scientifically, I'm not sure what animals are picky eaters. But I do know my dog is. She doesn't like dog food. She likes food that we eat, and I noticed that she prefers her food with lots of rice. She's a local breed and I guess she also got used to eating her food with rice. It's more expensive though than dog food. I mean, we have to cook her a separate meal of her own at times.

My cat Bobby is a picky eater if he does not like what I put in front of him, he tries to cover it with what ever he can find. Then he miaows as loud as possible to get my attention. If I ignore him he just goes out and comes back in with a loud miaow. Until I give in and give him what he likes.

My Cockatiel is very picky. He only likes flies, which he finds on the window, budgie seed, hard cheese, and cheese and onion crisps, ginger biscuits, and peanuts. If I try to feed him any of the things little birds like him should be eating, he gives them one sniff and then ignores them. He also drinks like a fish. The one I had before him never seemed to drink but lived a very long life, so I'm not going to worry. Intelligent animals and birds all have their likes and dislikes to go with their quirky personalities!
