You are not your nose..It's about Penelope who was cursed with having a pig's face (only the pig nose and ears are evident though)..only true love will break the curse. I really loved this movie, so much- it made me laugh and cry too. It teaches us all to accept and love ourselves as we are since we cannot love others unless we love ourselves first..a nice tale about love, friendship and people..

I really liked Penelope. I thought it was a really good chick flick movie to watch with an underlying meaning and messege. I like to watch movies similar to this once in a while. Films that you don't mind watching more than once, or purchasing to add to your personal collection. We should love oursleves first, though it is sometimes the hardest thing to do. But it also relays the message that there is someone out there that is waiting for you. Even if you do find it hard to love yourself, don't deny others that love you for you.

Yes, this is a nice story about loving yourself whatever you may look like. I do believe that there is someone, a soul mate that would complete a person too.. I hope I can also meet a guy like Johnny / Max (mcavoy)

This is quite an interesting movie- I haven't really seen it yet but I am a fan of both Christina Ricci and james Mcavoy. I don't usually see them in fairytale movies though.. I will go check it out if I see it.

You should definitely see it... Christina Ricci and james Mcavoy did a good job in it- they had good chemistry and acting. ANd I love the parents to- they were so funny and overprotective of their daughter..

I have seen the movie, and I thought that it had a nice story to it. It was touching, and it also really made me laugh. I really did enjoy it.

Yes, it does have a nice story although not so original with the curse and true love that can break the curse.. But it was still sweet and cute. The two lead characters had good chemistry too.

Imagine being judged solely because of your nose! I haven't watched the entire movie, and I vaguely remember the scenes that I've watched, but I clearly remember how Christina looked like.

Yes, Christina doesn't look that hideous to me though, but she looked better without the pig nose. It is a wonderful story, it's a funny fairytale, like the Disney ones but more mature..you should watch it til the end.

I think this movie is 3 years ago, I remember when I watch it the guy he is suppose to marry is so scared of her he thinks that she have fangs. I kinda remember the part where she realize that she really loves her pig face since she learned to accept her self that way and she gained fans because of her pig face then suddenly its gone, so she hides in the shadows when the pig face that makes her famous is gone.

It was released on 2006, but I just saw it last year and I downloaded it a few days ago since I really liked it. I hate Edward a bit since he was so judgmental and treated Penelope harshly, but i did like to know about him more since deep down inside he was quite like Penelope too...

Yes, that was a funny scene, and how the butler chases all of them down but Edward got away. I was glad that Penelope decided to go out and explore the world, it's made the story better than just being a normal chick flick.

her parents thought hiding her will keep her safe but she is able to inspire peopel when she decided to come out. I love the parts where guys jumps in the window the moment they see her
