Shaving dots!

I shave my legs every 2/3 days.. I like to wear things where I can get my legs out, as i personally think i've got great legs. But its the dots!! Those little red dots where the hairs were, and those stupid grey/purpley mottled marks.. how do I get clear skinned legs? Friends of mine shave their legs and look like something out of a magazine, however they all use sunbeds, or go on hols, and tan quite well. Am i forever doomed to having to plaster fake tan, and air bursh leg affect spray on myself, and pray it doesn't rain.. or would a few sunbeds help? I know the dangers, so it wouldn't be a constant thing, but have wears of my legs NOT being in the sun caused this?

It's safer to get your sun the natural way. Use sunscreen (you'll still tan with sunscreen) and just enjoy the sunshine. As for the bumps, there are a few things you can do. First, shave at night, not in the morning. You get a closer shave and have to shave a little less often. Second, 'soak' your legs in warm water for a good 10 minutes or more before you start shaving. Either get in the shower or a bath and just let the water soften the hair. It'll shave easier. Use a shaving cream or lotion with moisturizer and moisturize when you get out. If that doesn't help anything, you're probably giving yourself razor burn, use hydrocortisone on your legs.

thanks!
i tried that!
i didn't have the little bumps anymore, but within 15minutes of me shaving i ended up with little red dots where the hair had been.. maybe i'm just doomed to never have the smooth flawless legs of a celebrity haha!

It sounds like razor burn to me. I experienced razor burn form shaving, and man does it suck! But now I use this shaving cream by Neutrogena. The razor burn dissapeared. I'd try this if I were you, I mean you have nothing to lose (except a few dollars).-- Neutrogena-skin clearing shave cream (it's for men, but it'll have the same affect on women)
