Starting a Blog On Ideas - Any Advice?

I am starting a blog on politics focusing instead of the usual bickering, I am asking people to raise ideas on how to solve problems and get their thoughts on them. What do you think? Is there hope for a site where people actually discuss ideas? What types of ideas should I target... the budget? Taxes?

Do you have a blog platform yet? You are also going to have to figure out how to get traffic too it. I am not saying that it isn't a great idea. But it does take time for something like that to grow to a point where you are getting people's ideas to comment on it.

i think focus on what you are most interested in/know most about. it is a great idea - are you going to post a link to it here when you are done? [probably safest if you screen comments first if you are btw]
