For most people, they tend to make more work experiences dwelling from one firm to another. Such individuals have goals that they want to achieve gaining more professional exposures on different industries. Others, would choose to stick on a certain company for a long time gaining more years in preparation of retirement packages and looking at their career growth less just so they have the so-called job even if it bores them already.
Certain people do have a target set for a maximum of 2-3 years in a certain company if they don't get a position they desire based on their skills and competency, they will leave and risk on searching for another work opportunity. Risk takers at times won in a race of job opportunities and career advancement.

I would say that job isn't your career. It's a way to earn money, and that's it. There are so many people whom I know who go for work, and yet pursue their passions in their free time as a career.
