Really sad to report on the death of Randy Savage. Apparently he died of a heart attack from behind the wheel of a car. Just another person dead and while fifty eight is older than many in this business of people dropping dead in their thirties, its still a sad state. RIP Macho Man.

heard the news as well and really saddened by this one. randy savage is one of my favorite wrestlers both as a face and a heel. his style, the hat, the colorful shades, and those crazy shades really made up randy savage's in-ring persona very interesting. his catch phrase 'ooohhhh yeahhh!' was as macho man as you can get. his finishing move, the flying elbow form the top turnbuckles, was one of the early high risk maneuvers and as a kid, i always watch in awe when he successfully pulls off his finisher. of course, macho man had many rivalries during his time but none could be bigger than his rivalry with hulk hogan. i remember, they were tag team champions before and they were called 'megapowers' and they held on the tag team belts for quite sometime. they had a falling out and macho man and hulk had a classic match for the ages. another match that i fondly remember is the intercontinental match between macho man and ricky 'the dragon' steamboat in wrestlemania 3. that was one of the best matches for me in wrestlemania history. macho man had the lovely elizabeth in his corner while ricky steamboat had george 'the animal' steele. lol! anyway, macho man will be missed and wrestling fans from around the world will remember him. thanks for the memories macho man! oooohhhhh yeahhhhh!

Indeed, there are many great memories for Randy Savage. I think two other than what you mentioned that stuck out to me was his career versus career match with the Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 7. The best match of the Warrior's career and the reuniting with Miss Elizabeth after the match. Then his wars with Ric Flair in both WWF and WCW, brought some pretty epic matches to say the very least. I'm sure I can go on all day. Oh and who could forget those Slim Jim commercials. Great stuff. Still he'll always live on for sure in our memories. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Yep, this is one of the biggest deaths ever in wrestling and there have been some big ones, and some newsworthy ones for all of the wrong reasons. The tribute that they aired last night on RAW was very well put together. It really did capture the career of the Macho Man in a nutshell, all of the memories throughout his great legacy. It really did cap off a legacy that really will never be matched. Thank you and may you be in a better place. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Hi megamatt, While I am not a big wrestling fan, I have heard of Randy Savage, the "Macho Man". Fifty eight is very young but probably not for people in his chosen profession. He is now free. Blessings.

Yeah in real world years, it is extremely young. My dad isn't much younger than that for instance. In the world of wrestling, where people die of unfortunate causes in their 30s and 40s, that's a bit beyond. Still doesn't make it any less depressing. Especially given the fact that he was one of the reasons why I got into wrestling. An unfortunate end, but hopefully he's in a better place right now. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

My late husband was such a fan or randy savage. he will certainky be missed by his many adoring fans. it is sad and tragic to to lose someone in such a way. To have a heart attack be hind the wheel of a car is not the way we want to be rememberd. The way he lived his life is how we we should think of him. thoughts and prayers go out to his fsmily. blessings are with you!

Quite an awful end, like many. Of course, he'll always live on in the hearts and minds of all of the wrestling fans around the world, that he entertained over the years. And I'm sure many wrestlers within the business were inspired by Randy Savage. Truth me told, he might have been one of the top five greatest ever, and he had more really great matches than bad matches. Still, a great career, and a tragic loss for sure. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Wow did not know this until I read your discussion. I have been away from the net most of the day. I was a fan of his some years ago, but have not kept up with him in several years. Sad, and wonder if he knew he had a heart condition to begin with, as he was quite young. I am with you, may he rest in peace.

At least now he and ex wife Miss Elizabeth are together again in the afterlife. And there's so many of them there (Perfect, Rude, Boss Man, Bigelow, Dino Bravo, Andre The Giant, etc.), they're gonna have a party there anytime now, or maybe they did already. The parties in the afterlife I assume are a thousand times happier and fulfilling than our booze-oriented parties here on Earth. I'll bet Hennig just asked Macho "Randy, it's been a long time man! Where's Hogan?" Macho: "Him? Maybe it will take 20 or more Earth years before he gets here. haha"

A lot of wrestlers from the 80s and early 90s, some of the biggest names in wrestling, have reached the great beyond for sure. That would be an insane party up there for sure. Quite the reunion for sure of the 80s era WWF. Hogan's got some time left I think but just imagine what it might be like when Roddy Piper passes away. Something tells me that the afterlife may never be quite ready for the insanity of the Hot Rod. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Truly Saddened by this news, Macho man Randy Savage was a class act and fine wrestler and entertainer to work in the business, one can deny that he was on of the best wrestlers on the planet and one that could challenge hulk hogan's persona. He will be remembered as a great, R.I.P Randy Savage.

Yep, he was one of the greatest of all time for sure. And one of the reasons why I personally started to watch wrestling all of those years ago. He had so many great matches and moments, it would take forever to name them all and I am sure that I would miss quite a few. There will never be another quite like him. Perhaps one of the top five of all time? I think so. Quite sad to see him pass on. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.
