My dear friends you all are know now a days everyone is busy in their own life and they dont waste the time. Whenever I opened my orkut or gmail some friends are online but I dont want to chat with them so I clicked on unavailable option. I dont like to chat on rediffbol and yahoo messanger also because now we can do lot of important work in computer then why waste the time in chatting. Friend you like chatting or you agree with me share your nice and valuable views.

If we want to chat with our schoolmates, college mates, collegues, friends and family members,if they are far away from us, we can use gtalk. gtalk is very userfriendly to chat. And the chatting history is also stored in chats of the gmail account. Have you ever tried this gtalk software.

Chatting doesn't mean wastage of time but some people talk rubbish without any importance to that so for them i think it is wastage of time.

Hello surekharathi!
These days I am not much into chatting, whenever I am online I am also in an invisible mode. I don't really consider it as a waste of time since I can do it with other things online at the same time. For me talking to a friend, whether my offline or online friends is never a waste of time. Actually I am having fun while talking to them and besides we are not talking the whole day...hehe we are just chatting for a few minutes just to keep in touch...

Unless someone sends me a message that they need to chat about something with regards to some form of issue, then I will chat. Outside of that I never turn on the chat features on any site I am on.
I don't like sitting back and waiting for the next sentence to come in. lol

I do not think chatting is a waste of time but its depend on the person's opportunity cost. If the person who is chatting online has more important think to do than chatting, it will be unwise to divert time for chatting. But if the person get enjoyment and self satisfaction or recreation by chatting, why not to continue it :-) Its vary person to person.
Yes, nowadays lots of earning opportunity available online like mylot. However, most people is unaware of it.

Chatting CAN be a waste of time as long as you are chatting about meaningless topics. For me,when I'm tired of studying I will relax myself and chat with my friends for some short period of time.

it depends on who you're chatting to
I used to chat with just anybody
but lately I decided to chat with close friends only
if I don't see them online, I just turn invisible

Hi there,
I always choose to be offline or invisible on chat both on facebook and messenger. It is sometimes a waste of time but, if the person is a real friend or whom I really know and not just some random friends still, it is nice to chat with them.

Hello, once again I faced this problem I typed respond but due to internet connection problem it was not posted. I agree with you, but chatting is always not wasting of time. If it is must for us to chatt with some one than we should be do it. I wrote many time that I don't like to use fb or orkut only to say hi or hello. I have very little for my online jobs.

I also don't like to spend time for chatting. It is wastage of time. But there are some chatting sites which give us money when we chat. I think that that types of sites are better for us than non-paying chatting sites. Two birds in one shoot.
But people are different in character. There are many people who like chatting. Chatting is one of the main hobbies of many people especially the teenagers. They want enjoyments and like to maintain friendship with others. The people who like chatting are always social in character. But here we want money and so we write something and earning. At the same-time, we enjoy very much when we earn handful of money. Money is must. We can't live without money. So we should work hard to get it. Chatting will steal our time.

I also dislike chatting online on Yahoo Messenger,Facebook or any other site because I consider it to be a waste of time too,now when new opportunities of using the computer in a useful way keep on appearing.I've given up chatting and online games for a few months and I'm not going to return to them.I only talk to my friends online if there's something really interesting or important to discuss about, and usually I'm also unavailable.

i think it is more of time pass then waste o time to be more precise but it still think this is one medium of communication which can can be used with a larger medium of the people around the world and it also cheap. so i dont think it is wate of time as such. for example there is an application like skype were u can spk to u near a dear one with a vedio conference accros the phone or the computer and it is free. so dont entirely agree to it

yes chatting for hours with no work or important sujbect is just wasting time and energy of not only ours but also the electricity and othere resources will be wasted by us.So if we take care of these things in future we would not suffer from high bills or global warming getting higher and unbearable.

Hi surekharathi
I don't quite chat much but once in a while I would go online to chat with my good friends. Sometimes chatting with friends could be fruitful, it depends. We may be needing some ideas or advice on something and we tend to ask friends. It also helps us keep in touch with close friends that are dear to us.

hi surekharathi,
I do chatting only if it's important like work related. For my friends, I value them but I do not want to waste my precious time in chatting. Sometimes it is really boring that the connection of your chat mate / friend is very slow. Its shows on the screen that she's typing but oh no I don't want to keep myself waited. It's better to send an email or have a conversation in Skype or Yahoo Messenger. With that, I can do my other task on the internet and then send a response to their email. For me, this kind of idea is much logical especially if you really want to earn online. Don't keep your time wasted.
