Do You Ever Get Frustrated and Want To Quit?

Well, in life there are a lot of things that might make us frustrated and want to quit. Maybe it could be our job, our family, and other things around us. But what I am refering too, is being a member here at myLot. Have you gotten frustrated by lack of responses back to your discussions, people not being understanding, time management getting in the way, or just not earning like you think you should? I Honestly would be lying if I was to say there has never been a time in my being an active member here I have not considered quitting and never coming back. This even shows the BIG break for when I posted like only a couple of times in like 6-8 months here. But personally I can Honestly say it has always been the wonderful Friends I have made as well as what I have learned here that keeps me coming back. All I can say is to anyone thinking of leaving, personally give it more time and see if this site can grow on you as well. There will be things that will frustrate you and make you want to give up. But personally no one or nothing here is worth it, and if you choose to stick around others will be Happier as well. ~~TINA~~

Early on in my membership I will admit there were several things about myLot that I disliked. I have actually made some really great friends here who have actually encouraged me to stay. I owe one particular one a great deal, because she had consistently encouraged me with her friendship and great advice. Actually today is my 1st full year here, so guess I will stay. lol I also agree that if anyone is thinking of quitting that maybe a break is best. Good thing myLot does not deactivate memberships so one can return after sometime.

Ah the lady responsible for assuring I did not give up! Thank you mysd for making sure I did not give up. I know I ran you crazy in PM, as you were so gracious to stop your probable earning moments to listen and respond so frequent with me. I am looking forward to posting as you below that I have been here for 3 years.

There was a time when I felt like leaving almost three years ago and I went quiet for a while but as it was due to a situation here and not because I didn't enjoy my time spent on myLot, I decided to grit my teeth and carry on and I have never regretted that decision ever! I see the phases that myLot goes through with some Lotters complaining about this or that and then some leaving but new ones join and make their mark and it all starts rolling again. I am glued here as I hope are many, many more!

Yes all the time and when I feel like that I usually find myself walking away from the situation and just take some time to breathe or cry or whatever it is that has frustrated me just take some time away from the source that made me frustrated but I know I can not run away from those things because running away and giving up is not the answer for me just simple time away to think why it frustrated me and what I can do about it. I know I have sen a lot of your discussions and you are are very active member and I feel the same as you sometimes I have got frustrated here but I always come back here because of the wonderful people and just everything here is great!! The earnings are nice and I don't want to quit here at all!! I would feel lost without My Lot!! Well sorry I haven't had a chance to respond to all your posts but in time my friend in time. L.O.L. Have a great day and see ya soon!!

Yes there are times you do often get quite frustrated and it makes you wonder when it will ever end. And then you walk away, or go find other things to do, like posting here in myLot at it all goes away. Glad you are here as well.

I do not get frustrated and want to quit. There are days when something will strike me the wrong way, usually because I am not in all that great of a mood to begin with, and I will just log out and come back the next day as I come on here to have fun not get into fights with others. I really enjoy interacting on here and look forward to it, so I would not want to do anything that might detract from that. Having said that, there have been a couple of times that I have taken a break from here. Neither time was due to anything relating to this site though ... both times I had computer/Internet problems that I could not resolve quickly. I really missed all my friends on here, and I was looking forward to the time that I would be able to return.

Top - You cannot blame the entire wreck of the wheelchair on me. If you knew how to properly maneuver that thing, then you would not have run it into the side of that building. Sunny - It was jello-shot wrestling ... get it right!

I never saw you fighting with others purple, and I cannot imagine it -- I swear it on the wreck of my wheel chair --. We were many to regret your last involuntary break and you were missing to your friends too.

The only thing that frustrates me are negative raters in a few interests. Last time, I got a BR in a discussion, and lost 1 point star and 300 ranks in the interest : it is not fun when your response is honest and good enough for the starter to be rewarded by the BR... I don't care really about the earnings at myLot : mines have always been low, and in more than one year I had only one day where I earned more than $1. Money is a nice bonus, but I am more interested by the discussion, and satisfied of my day at myLot when I have participated to a good or funny discussion. Since a month or two many friends have left and I find that myLot is sleeping. I have thought about leaving, but I have too many good friends still here to do it and I think I am addicted.

LOL! By "transport" were you perhaps referring to the wheelchair that may or may not have gotten a little bruised recently? Perhaps you should try a walker instead, then, as they cost a lot less to replace ...

Don't walk for too long or I will not be here when you get back. If you take too long to return, then I guess that I will have to warn someone else to make sure you get back safely ... I know how treacherous those walks can be at your age. Maybe I should go along with you just to make sure that you make it back relatively safely and in one piece.

You are terrible! I am going for a walk without my wheelchair -- you broke it -- and a walker -- I can't buy one on Sunday --, and I will find some consolation by opening a bottle when I will be back.

That issue hasn't bothered me. Yet. As you say, there are lots of wonderful friends here. And, as I said in another post, the only thing that would make me leave is when I become too busy, or too rich.

Too busy... Well that one has happened, and is why I think there have been times I am not as active in here as others, but TOO RICH? Well, we can always DREAM can't we? But even then I think I would miss this site too much to not want to post in here from time to time.

There are so many times that I think of leaving here in mylot. But as I browse through the responses of the the lotters here, I was so overwhelmed on how they are able to pour their heart and soul in their answers. I was touched and overwhelmed because I learned a lot from them. I even write most of their responses in my notebook just to keep me reminded and grounded that we all go through the same frustrations (might be on different cases but it's still same feeling of being frustrated - ). I take a break most the time that's why I am hardly seen participating in all of my friend's discussion. I try to come back from time to time just to earn some more and check on other's discussion. Mylot is a real treasure for me. So I don't think I can leave permanently.

This is some good reasons to be a member here of myLot. I know personally that there are times something someone posts back as a response even when it is a discussion that they have started can be heartfelt and makes me glad I am a member here.

I have never been frustrated on this site and wanted to quit. Never. I enjoy my time here. I read about others having stockers and such and all the problems they have on here. I never do. And alot of people have left for whatever reason over the last year or so. I have gotten frustrated with jobs in the past and wanted to leave them. Infact I have left several and I am sure glad I don't work anymore.

Yes, I have seen a lot of good people come and go in here. Some from time have come back which is good. I know there are some who never do who I miss and often wonder what ever happened to them. I think a lot of times being online can draw us closer and in here find friends and such you think of like family. Too bad from time to time comes the Bad ones as well.

myLot is an outlet in so many ways. The thing is you can talk about things here without having to worry about who might see it, and how many will make a comment back especially when they do not agree just to harm you like they sometimes do in Facebook.

I thought that you took that small break due to the fact that you were creating a major traffic jam in order to meet girls. Are you now trying to back-track and suggest that you were just angry with someone here ... or is that your cover-story, so that the police don't find and arrest you for creating such a disturbance on the roads and stranding so many motorists?

I almost considered it when this place got invaded by trolls. skipping them and not wasting an ounce of energy on them is much better. I also got frustrated when I awful low quality responses like 1 liners and off topic responses. Luckily I am still here. There are times when you are losing inspiration and having enough of the bad stuff but in the end some people here motivated me to stay.

Glad to see thru it all, you have chosen to stick around. I know that at times there can be people who are not the nicest, and a lot of weird trolls and such like that, but when you learn to stick it out they often disappear and the Fun of being here returns.

Some of the trolls here seem to clean their acts but I don't consider making friends with them since I don't want them in my discussions ever again. I already forgave them but it's too awkward to talk with them again. It's good to know though that they avoid my discussions now.

I may get a little frustrated but at the end of the day, I say to myself that I am making money, may not be the big checks that I'm use to but it's something. I see mylot as a little piggy bank that always gets pennies thrown into it and eventually someday in the future it will lead to big cash. So hang in there and don't quit because mylot is easy money. Besides, this a cool atmosphere where you get to ask any question you want and have a discussion about topics that interest you. It's all for free and you get money for it.

Yes, I've felt that it isn't worth my time being here. Not because of the low earnings but because it takes so much of my time. So since myLot wasn't going to change, I changed my habits. I stopped responding to friends' discussions that didn't truly interest me. I weeded out "friends" that only discussed sports or money, two things I could not care less about. As for lack of responses, I realized that while it felt good to put my feelings into words not a lot of people might be interested enough to respond--so accept that it is a cleansing experience and don't expect people to jump on it!

That can be so true. I am sure there are friends in my friends list that I could weed out if I took the time. Those who I can never relate with, or never take time to respond back to mine, or start New discussions I could never relate with. Many times that can be stressful when everyone is expecting you to respond back to their discussions even when you cannot relate.

I'm in the same boat as you. There are times when I've just been too busy to come to the site, but there have also been times when I felt like giving up, mainly because of the earnings, but then I start posting again and I find all of these interesting conversations that I can respond to and I start coming back. This is usually when I have the time to do so. There are just certain topics that I stay away from because people can get to catty and ignorant. It is a very entertaining site though if you like to write and discuss different topics. I also like that you can get different opinions from people in different countries who have a different worldview than yourself.

Yes, it can be quite interesting with the way people are so diversitised here depending on what country they are from. I also feel that when people can come here and quit worrying about the low earnings, and come in and have fun, helping and learning from others it will keep on encouraging you as well.

I have been a member here a little over a year, and I have never had a time when I felt like giving it up. I have only started a few discussions, maybe that is why. I spend most of my time responding to other's discussions. I have been away for a few days when I was on vacation or my computer was down etc.. The only problem I have had so far is not having enough time.

Not having enough time to be in here is many of our thoughts. There are a lot of times once I start posting in here I really hate to have to get off here to go to work, or sleep etc. and have found myself being late for somewhere, or not getting the sleep I should get.

I face frustration all the time. Anywhere and in any situation. It was part of life experience, don't you think? I would be lying too, if I tell you my life is perfect. Within mylot, frustration must be, but I won't simply take it seriously and telling myself quit working here. It is still a great place to join, and I never thought about quitting here.

New job new frustration , old job old frustation . - Job equal stress
Ya, hard to find ideal job for yourself expect if your start something yourself.Because working for others mean have to fulfill other people expectation and such and alos even with own business, there are partnmership and other stuffs to considerate.I guess the idea is not get frustrated for too long and recover fast and be prepared and not be frustrated.New job new frustration , old job old frustation .Because it is the same Me.

That is true in all walks of life no matter what you are doing. Because the ideal job, and life will never be exactly as you hoped and dreamed. You have to be the one to take charge and plan accordingly and motivate yourself to what will often work the best. When you take charge in yourself in time great things can happen.

I have been frustrated, thought about quitting but I didn't do it. Sometimes, you only think about quitting when you are very upset. I don't want to make decisions which I would regret in the end. I usually take time thinking about what I should really do before jumping into any situation.

That is some Great advice there, and something more people could benefit from. I know many times a person often jumps into a situation without thinking about what is Best and often finds out it would have been best if they had waited. But if they decide to quit instead they are really missing out for sure.
