Spoiler gap:
A great finale. All kinds of intrigue about who was Red John's mole in the CBI. The initial mistake about who it was which led to Lisbon being shot. What a touch it was for Van Pelt's fiance to take back the necklace as he was dying which showed he was just using her. But the kicker was Red John underestimating Jane and thinking he would be unarmed like he usually is. Of course now that Jane has gotten his revenge, he won't care what happens to him. But will Lisbon manage to get it argued as self defense since Red John had a gun? Will she get Jane to care about going on and to continue working with the CBI? We have to wait till next season to find out.

I was really expecting someone like Rigsby or Van Pelt to be Red John's accomplice. It's disappointing that Bruno Heller didn't have the guts to do that. OK, so now that Jane had his revenge, what main plot will they be using next season? I hope the ratings don't fall after this...

Well, its been renewed for a 4th season, so I assume the season will either follow Jane getting out of jail or he will continue to work with the CBI.
Either way, Red John got what he deserved. Really wasn't a shock that Van Pelt's fiance was involved, he had been acting oddly for a few episodes.
