I actually got back early as what i am scheduled to, i got back last Wednesday night..i was even able to reply several discussions, short ones. Well why? well hubby needs me. Last Tuesday night hours after i arrived at the province i went to, he texted me saying his right hand, specifically the middle fingers ( no other thoughts intended ok ) was swelling. Yes it was swelling, it started last Saturday and we thought it was just some insect bite..and yes it swelled. Then wednesday morning, early as i was starting to work there, he messaged me again saying, he was not able to sleep because the pain was excruciating and i told him to drink some mefenamic acid and he said he already did and it was already 1 gr of it and it still did not reduce the pain..so i did hurried what i was supposed to do, talked to people, did the survey, briefing and orientation all in just a hours and supposed to be done in days. It was brief and fast and luckily they claim to understand what i was saying...and good think boss did allow me to leave and go home Wednesday afternoon..it was a 6 hour travel..from the province to the city...and on the way he was texting me again..that he needs me and that he is really in pain and it was still severe..and his brother said to have it incised..or cut a part of it to release the swelling pressure. But he says he will wait for me..and well he did and when i arrive there i could how much pain he is and glad that i was there. We went to the ER and that stupid doctor ( yes she was! grr) we told her to just incise it and cut it to have it bleed since she said it was an abscess, it was not a boil but an abscess since there is already pus inside... She did not incise! what she did was get this syringe, stick into my hubby's finger and he was really squeezing my hand so tight he cried in pain..and she removed it after poking and poking! and she said it is not yet ready to be incised!! the heck we insisted she incise it but she said she wont for it will cause bleeding! grrrrr and unfortunately the surgeon we know is not yet in town and he will be back thursday afternoon! we went home and he is still soooo much in pain, the antibiotic and the pain reliever seems not to work!! we were awake wednesday night and i was soothing him putting ice on it to numb the nerves and thursday..then again the doctor is not yet in! another prolong to his pain..and an all nighter again, we were both awake..him crying in pain saying it was the first time he experienced this pain more than a toothache! and friday, yesterday good thing the doctor since he is afriend passed by our home and said we should go to the clinic and he will open it there...and we did, i was really looking since i was curious. lol. He opened the abscess with a scalpel and use this forceps to keep it open and he really remove all the pus and blood inside and squeezed it..and all is well now. now that was long and that is why it is just now that i am active again in mylot. I had to be there for him..and now i know why they utter " in sickness and in health" we have to be there for each other. It was tiring, we were both soo dead sleep last night yet he thanked me for sticking up with him and for me coming home early and me being absent from work for two days.. he says he will repay my deducted salary lol

Hi jazel... i understand your hubby's tense. The lady was not able to find out the reasons which has made me more frightened. good to know that the friend doctor worked fine and made your hubby relieved. In case of such situation everyone needs his/her partner and the partner should stay near him/her. You have done the great job and i appreciate you for your kindness. After all he is ready to repay you. take care.

What caused the problem with his finger? I am glad that we have a better medical situation than it seems you have there. I imagine it hurts a lot. I had a huge splinter that got under my skin once. I did not have the time to get to my regular doctor, but I was seeing a specialist for a female problem, and he just went ahead and took care of my splinter, or I might have had a swollen hand like that. Ouch!

We actually do not know the cause of it,some says it is an inverted boil..where it is all inside..he was thinking if maybe he was bitten by an insect but he could not remember any incident that he was! it just started to get itchy at first and he said next was a bit of pain and then it began to swell right away..

Hi Jazel, Well good thing you were around. He is lucky enough to have you around during those times of pain. You both are just so sweet, you know that? Really stood up to what you promised "in sickness and in health"... He was probably thinking how he was gonna make it up to you. And out of no where he thought of compensating your deducted salary. Funny but it's a sweet thing for him to do. I admire that he recognized your effort to be there for him. And he was in utter gratitude to you. It's painful, it hurts but somehow it was eased by your mere presence.... I couldn't stand to look at the procedure you were mentioning. That was just gross! Glad to know, everything is fine with you now. God bless you and your relationship! have a great life! chuyins

Yes i believe he is already thinking of how to repay me but i told there is no need for such, that's what we are supposed to do when someone we love is in need or in his case in pain.. it was my first time to see that kind of operation, it was minor but still it did gross me out but heck i still want to look at the cause of the problem hahaha
