In asian countries, beating children is common n they believe children will learn n "grow" faster in a sense of learning fr the punishment. But in western countries, this is considered absurd, n children are well protected. What do u think? Are children ought to be punished by beating them when they do something wrong???

That is true, beating children is the common way of disciplining one's kid. Here in Philippines, the parents has a sole responsibility when it comes to disciplining ur child, no one can argue with that unless u treat ur child in a violent way not only physical but also emotional. As for me, as early as possible try to discipline ur kid while they're young, in that way when they grow up they will know that they're doing right. And also set your disciplinary method, like scolding them or spanking (here, we can beat our kid but u must control ur temper so that u cant hurt ur child to much physically. But as they know how to talk, try to develop the talk and listen method (everytime he done wrong talk to him and he should listen and vice versa), so that ur kid will not be getting some "phobia" with u.

i might spank them once a while if they get outta hand but beating them would be terrible..they tend to be naughty, thats why they are called kids.

i'm asian, and i think that children nowadays are very intelligent and matured. the more you beat them, the more they tend to be rebellious. i will choose to explain to them and nag if necessary ;0)
