The earth is a really great Place

Being a great place, the earth has lots of mysteries that need to be demystified. One is this question. Why is the question mark symbol (?) like that? Do you have any idea or story as to why this symbol is like this?

Hahaha! I am pretty sure that this planet of us houses mysteries deeper than this one. But it´s a truly interesting question. Let me explain. As well as many aspects of our western culture, the origin of the shape of the question mark symbol date back to Latin. The Latin word for question is "quaestio" that started to abbreviate during Middles Ages to "qo". With the passing of time, the final "o" used to be written below the "q". And after a few centuries, this mark was transformated into the modern symbol. Thanks for the discussion and excuse my english!
