I have been using the cell phone from past more than 3 Years but yesterday i switched off my cell and went out with friends on that moment i opened the back panel of my cell phone and removed battery from that cell and gave it to my friend to use. Approximately after 2 hours he gave back that battery and when i inserted that battery to my cell phone and switched on my cell then it is showing exact time!!!! previously i might have done this but i haven't observed it, but when i observed yesterday then i got surprised and i started think about it. Then i asked my friends and they said may be its automatic but my question is how? how come it is showing the exact time?!!??! Is there software that they have run in that? Please let me know if you guys anything about it. Thank you.

Two things allow this to happen. First, some cellular phones have another small button battery inside for purposes of keeping record of important information including the date and time. Another explanation may be that your cellular service provider allows your mobile phone to synchronize its time with their cellular network, and your mobile phone is set to automatically update its date and time.

Hi. lou_is. My guess is that it is like a systematic time that is audited into the system of the cell phone. I think that as long as your battery is active, the time will stay the same. If your cell phone becomes deactivated then the time will not display on your cell phone screen at all.
