the two most important factors when having a baby are 1) this is an expensive prospect, and 2) you are going to be tired until the baby is about 45, maybe 50 years old. in terms of expense, up front, you realize that children cost money to raise. you really have no idea. beginning with his/her first day home, forget about a good night's sleep, a reasonable lovelife, or sense of well-being. other than that, good luck.

To tell if it's a male or female you can have an ultra sound done. There are many home ways to find out if it's a boy or girls though. You can enjoy it by just holding your baby and cuddling. You can also enjoy it by taking pictures or sitting down reading a good book. I used to love when my daughters were babies when I would feed them just stare right into their eyes and talk to them very calmly. There are many ways to enjoy having a baby. Most comes nautral though and other things may not come so easily. Just have pateience and always provide quideince.
