How to you get PTC referrals?

I have been recently introduced to paid to click sites by my daughter. I am a member of neobux, clixsense, clicksia and incentria. I have research the net that referrals are the key to success to PTC site. But I do not know how to get one. Maybe you could tell how did you get your referral and I'll try my best to get a referral. Thanks.

There are many ways where you can get direct referrals
like ask your friends to join them
create a blog about it then promote it like most of us have done
put all the banner in your mylot profile here and when some one visit your profile may be few of them would join under you
join downline builder site its is also a place from where we can get some direct referrals i have got many referrals from using downline builder site

What a downline builder site? I hope you are willing to elaborate on it. I'm interested and maybe I could try it out. Many are saying blogs would be the best to get a referral so maybe I could try it out in the future. I'll also try to put all the banners in my mylot profile so that people would be aware.
