I am fascinated by stories of Out Of Body Experiences.

I think stories about Out of Body Experiences (OBE) are so very, very interesting. When I had open heart surgery I was hoping to have an OBE (and come back of course :) ..but I didn't remember anything.
I have read stories and the similarity of the different experiences are amazing to read.
I wonder if anyone here has had an Out of Body Experience or knows anyone who has??

Sorry about you having open heart surgery and do hope that you are fully recovered. Yes, I had an OBE during birth of my third son. Long exhausting 15 hour labour and then, after I kicked the nurse in her face as she was preventing my giving birth until the doctor arrived - I was looking over the shoulder of my doctor and sympathising with me lying on the bed. I saw my son being born. It has since been said that I was hallucinating after too much gas and air but IDK.

Thank you..My surgery was a few years ago. I had mitral value prolapse for years and years and they decided it should be repaired. The surgery went great and I am fully recovered. I did want an OBE considering since I was under, but it was not meant to be :)
LOL you are a feisty one kicking the nurse. After 15 hours I think I would have wanted to kick someone too.
I have read that many people didn't share their OBE until they heard others sharing. They were not believed and actually mocked. Gosh had you told me I would have been so excited for you lol...How did you feel emotionaly after experiencing that?

Kicking the nurse in her face was a reflex action as she was pushing my knees together to stop the baby from being born until the doctor arrived. What she did was cruel as my son's head had to be 'shaped' by a paediatrician the very next day.
Actually, I did not tell anyone for years as I thought that they would consider me to be strange. I do not remember getting back into my body at all. But I saw my son being born. In those days the husbands were not allowed in the delivery room

LOL I didn't think you kicked the nurse on purpose..just that maybe you would like to have :) Your poor son :(
In the past some were called not only strange, but crazy. Fortunately many have shared their stores and now and it is a studied experience.
I remember when husbands were not allowed in the delivery room..I'm so glad things changed.

I had one after a small party with some of my friends and it was incredilbe. I layed on my back to go to sleep and i woke up on the ceiling of the room, and i could see everything in the room,in the smalest detail including myself.I was floating...I thought i was dreaming and i saw a cellphone vibrate until it fell off the side of a shelf. One friend entered the room,i woke up,and saw the phone on the floor, and i realised that it was actually not a dream at all. Before i was out of my body, i had some sort of short white, bright flash, and i heard a strange noise i cannot describe...all in all i was excited about this for days...

Sure hope all is well with you now after having your open heart surgery.
I never had one but since Im a Past Life Therapist, Ive read about this a lot. It is said that every night, while we sleep, our ""soul"" leaves our bodies.....but we usually dont remember it.
You can try and learn how to do it under control but not sure it would be a good idea.

Thank you it's been a couple of years since my surgery and I am fine. It was for a mitral value repair.
I have heard we travel in our sleep. I wouldn't try an OBE because I don't really want to force something like that. If it 'just happened' I'd be good with it, but I won't go out of my way to make it happen.
