I am starting this discussion not to hurt any one's feelings. It is just out of curiosity and for the sake of gathering knowledge about this site I am initiating this discussion! I have come across few members on this site or forum who have reentered this site with different user name as they have got banned by the site for not following the guidelines! I agree many people might have committed some mistakes because of not knowing full guidelines of the forum and they may be innocents! I am not getting in to an argument for the reason why the have committed such mistake! My point is if one can open a new account with a new user name if his/her account is banned on this forum! Is it valid move on this site? I have gone through the guide lines and FAQ, but I couldn't get any clear cut details on this subject! Do you feel that is it OK and not against the rules? Can some one throw some light on this matter, so that along with me many of the members will get benefited by sharing the knowledge about this issue! Please respond your views ! Your views will be highly appeciated! Thanks !

Hi AKRao Well, I am not sure if they were banned or not or whatever. But yes, there is a small loophole that people can exploit here - MyLot does have a heart and allows family accounts. It also allows that multiple people in a family can link up to the same paypal Id or payment processor. Those who are on the other sides, they misuse this noble feature and there is NO Practical way to get hold of such accounts. Being a technical guy, I am quite certain that nothing will work as long as this Noble Feature is present. People recommend IP tracking and what not but when they are all coming in from a family - say one room - the tracking of IPs will never be an efficient tool to check. What I pity and feel bad about is the fact that a few people still want to misuse the things that have been around for a healthy atmosphere and they continue doing it without thinking that this effects so many others for no reason.

Hi sids! I have no idea how they did it but when in the past there were husband and wives or boyfriends and girlfriends here and either both using the same account (not allowed as per the TermsofUse) or other supposedly family members who were none other than the same person with multiple accounts, myLot sussed them out and they were sent to banned land! I find it appalling, just like you, that so many con-men (and women) make their way here and think that they can get away with anything and everything. They can't! - as many of us have noticed

I know exactly what you mean my friend. Once we have been through one of these experiences it makes us put up some sort of protection barrier so that we will not fall into another trap It makes us harsh and suspecting towards one and all. At the same time we also notice certain trends and I feel that after going through such an experience it is easier to see real from fake online. I hope that you will soon be able to confirm the same

Well yes, stand correct after a small research and read today I think, that IP tracking can be possible - after all it is to be used only for those who are suspects and the "suspects" can be trapped. The problem that gets on and worsens the matter - is that once we get kissed by a con-man or con-woman, we start believing and suspecting every unknown face - to be one such person and when we realize that it was not a con-person, we have nothing left but a feeling of sadness, a feeling of hurt and pain - oh, how could I wrongly judge and spoil a to-be or could-be a great friendship... An unhealthy situation indeed - not only for us as persons but also for MyLot Family ps. last paragraph is personal and based on an FR I got today - no hurt or other intentions for anyone please.

You mean in a particular forum? or mylot itself? If you are referring to mylot site (as a whole) i wish that admin will be more strict and like other sites where IP address could be restored once you logged in,that way no one can create multiple accounts,or,it would be easier for the admin to determine those users who keeps deleting their account and coming back again and again. Yes,some mylotters who are innocent,or haven't read the guidelines and had their accounts deleted due to some violations, can be an exception..but should be given warning too. However, those mylotters who deleted their accounts for personal reason and wants to comeback is another issue,at least very considerable. I really wish that mylot will be more strict and alert with member/mylotters who are abusing this site. And also must have proper investigation with reports... and how about posting real photos too,so no one can create another account using other mylotters photo/s. just my view/opinion.

MyLot can and do find multiple accounts and they delete them all as only ONE account is allowed per user at any one time. I see nowhere in the TermsofUse where myLot restrict members from cancelling and creating new acounts. Indeed they tell us that is what we should do if, for example, we wish to change our username. How can anyone determine whether a photo is of the person who is using it or not. Impersoanting another user is abuse and cause for deleltion.

hello mysd, good to see you here dear. i just wonder, because i was reported having multiple accounts...which i never did. how can we determine about the photo...yah..it's hard to prove if s/he uses the real photo..but at least upload few photos can help. or photos with other mylotters like what we did during our first Philippine-mylot confe where rberon posted a link or our photos (Mylot-Philippines First Conference.) thanks ma'm

Yours example of being reported just goes to prove that admins checks reports before taking action! I like the idea of using photos where there are others who can confirm that we are who we say we are. I don't even have a camera so therefore no photos to post

AKRao24, I am really interested to know how you could or did you know that the member had been banned before and is using another username to reenter myLot. Being that such matters are really quite obscure from public knowledge and confidential where including the reasons for banning - I am just surprise how you actually come to have such information. On this note, I am quite aware that the admin is really sharp here and it will be some time before such members are found and removed from the site. Unless, prior notice had been communicated to the admin and approval granted. Otherwise, I believe the system is really clear and fair.

Hello Dear Sky Success! Our friend Ms Diana who is one of the most active and senior member already answered your doubts! It is now more than five years I have joined this site and I visit this site just to have some nice time and to have so fun while interacting with our friends here! So I spend lot of time in reading others discussions and responses, by doing which I gain a sort of happiness and I am left with some freshness! Many a times I am so exhausted that I don't even feel like typing anything, such times I thoroughly search the forum for various discussions of my interest under various heads! While doing so I have come across several times where people have admitted that they have entered this site after thy have got banned once! If you take out some time and undertake bit of effort you can come across such members in day to day discussions! I agree with Ms Diana's observation and you can immediately make out from the posing with a small score that it is from an old member , by the way it is drafted, presented and posted along with the style and the language used! Here GAA is the admin. who comes many times to help us out! As posted by Ms Diana in her one of her previous post there is a informative link which can throw some light about this topic. Today also GAA responded and said that once an account was deleted by mistake just to rectify the mistake in the same day by the admin. Well, now on this page only we have got a member who got banned and allowed by the admin. It is clearly mentioned in the discussion! Please refer response number 6! So it is not a big thing to know about the banning members and it is not really that big secret as you are having the feeling about it! Regarding the last part of your discussion, from the GAA's discussion it is clear that Admin. really doesn't want to impose any permanent ban on any member unless he/she crosses the limits of cheating by doing the mischiefs which are of chronic in nature. He has given a list which is already in the guide lines! Thus at the end I think here for committing mistakes of mild nature the discussions or responses are deleted and informed the same to the members responsible for doing so! If bit more serious natured may b they are warned and permanent ban is only imposed if the admin. feels that the member is incorrigible and nothing will work on him/her except for imposing a permanent ban! Thanks for rsponding!

from the GAA's discussion it is clear that Admin. really doesn't want to impose any permanent ban on any member unless he/she crosses the limits of cheating by doing the mischiefs which are of chronic in nature. Now doesnt that seem to be a loophole that can be exploited - I believe this makes things subjective and weakens the concept or ideas behind "Banning". Maybe good for people who commit such mistakes unknowingly but it can get quite severe and complex when people start doing them intentionally. I think they should come up with something like different zones/restrictions for different kind of "Wrong doings" and let go off the concept or theory of Banning a member as Banning a Member doesnt seem to work efficient - Maybe on a test basis - for example - if you continually keep negging(act as a troll) - you are not going to get any participation for say 15 days or so

Yes Dear Sids! From he views expressed by GAA , where he treats every case is an individual case and really won't like to ban a member unless he/she is too much on this forum! Yes this is a definitely a sort of loop hole and makes the things subjective and definitely make the concept of banning a weaker one! Yes I think instead of imposing a ban on the membership if the erred members are punished by either banning them temporarily for some period or by deducting the earnings in the form of fine for various types of practices which go against the guide lines! But then for that the admin. should have a clear cut list of offenses and the possible imposed punishment with him and it should be displayed in FAQ so that members will come to know about it and mend their behaviour if felt necessary! Thanks !

I would not know and frankly I would not care... Now, do I hurt you? I hope not, cause I am just stating my own feeling on this. If members violating the site, surely MyLot would take care of them. If they intent on creating new accounts, just hope that this time they learned their lesson and will abide by the rules...

Hi Dear Jennyze! having read your opinion, I didn't get hurt in any way, as every one is expected here to come with their own opinion about the topic under discussion! Dear Jennyze,if the things were that easy, then there wouldn't have been any problem at all! If Mylot is banning the members permanently for cheating, how then the members are reappearing on this site with newuser name? What is the guarantee that they won't commit the same mistake / cheating again on the site? My point is that why at first place these members abide by the rules to have a healthy atmosphere on the forum? Thanks for responding!

Hi Akrao! I like this discussion. Perhaps I just met a very few of them with a new account (they just use slightly different username so easy to spot them), but I thought they just cancelled their accounts and make the new one. I never thought that they got banned from Mylot and a bit surprised and I just know it just now that banned people can be here again. Anyway I believe in the words of 'giving the second chance'. If they still with the same behavior I am sure they will get ban again.

Hello Dear CT Hanum! Yes we often come across with such new accounts with slightly different user names! I won't say are these account holders are banned ones! For the people who are interested to change their user name, don't have any option than cancelling their old account and starting a new one! So we can have members who are sincere and honest but have changed their account for this reason. Some People with the intention of helping others may cancel their account and join under some one as their referral so that the person under whom they have joined can have benefits for this member who have rejoined the site! This is for a good cause they are doing! I know few people who have done it for the sake of helping some needy people for whom earning money is an essential right at the given moment! I appreciate such new accounts and the intentions behind such new accounts! I am really disturbed about the regular cheaters whose intentions are always a malafide ones and their aim is always create some troubles on the site! Such members if not checked at the earliest , then these members can become a big nuisance in future! Like Any other site Mylot also must be having some 'algorithm' based on which the site must be working! Because of such cheaters this algorithm can get disturbed and the site can incur severe loss! Who would like to have such a nice forum Mylot should suffer because of such cheaters? I don't mind giving second chance to the people who have realised their mistakes and would decide to behave themselves on the sit if given a second chance! If such things are repeated then these people will have to suffer as GAA has assured that the members who are real cheaters won't be spared! Thanks for the response!

If they cancel their account then all of their activity will remain posted with the name they had when they were posted. When they open the new account all of their new activity will have the name of the new account.

I do not know, but think that mylot can forgive people and re-enter them if they are repentant and want to start again with honesty. I do not see any evil in this. We all make mistakes and we can help those who want to be good.

Dear Jak! As per the Site admin. GAA it is very evident that each case is considered individually and depending upon the nature of nature of breaking the rule the case is decided! As per the admin.normally a member is not banned unless he/she crosses the limits of breaking the rules and becoming too obvious that he/she is having malafide intentions (to cheat the site)! Well as per him members with small mistakes are not normally banned ! Well in spite of all this if member reenters and having realised his mistake if he /she behaves himself/ herself and follow the guidelines and be honest, there is no problem and such members are always welcome! Here on this site we really have very nice, experienced and senior members who can always guide such members ! Thanks for responding!

Hi akrao: This happends not only in Mylot but on other forums. People make some mistakes. Some of them need to learn the Termis of Use by the bad way but I believe in second chances. If a person that has made a little mistake and he/she had been banned I see nothing wrong if he/she wants to re join the site. There's actually a punishment because all their previous post, their experience, the possibility to upload photos or copy and paste has disappear because they will be newbies again. Also they lost all their friends and they need to create their profiles once again. If someone has learnt the lesson why not rejoining the site. ALVARO

Hello Dear Starsailover! I agree with your views, that if some one is banned for some reasons by admin. for committing a mistake with no intention of cheating the site then the member should be given a second chance! Yes, that is very true and the admin. also says so. On the contrary admin. says that such members are warned and even their accounts are not banned! The accounts are only banned if some one is seriously trying to cheat the site and the intention behind doing the mistakes is a bad one! Now do you mean to say that such members who have been banned who were basically chronic cheaters should be given a second chance to repeat the similar thing again on this site? If the intention behind the joining this site is to cheat this site, then for such members it won't take much time to reach the score of 500 by reaching which they can post pictures and copy and paste the material then! Thanks for responding!

Ban depends on administrator. - Banning is last resorts
I guess it ok for them to return with other nickname, as it give them another chance to turn a new a leave together. It actually depends on the mylot administrator to punish and monitor these people.THey are few methods to it by saving banned payment details, address, email, name , nick and such.IF your ban all these information it will discourage them to join again.Hopely they are bound to have some loopholes and stuborn one.Positively they contribute spice to mylot.

Hi Dear Kukueye! Yes, many of them are returning back with new user name! I am really bothered about those members who might have got cancelled their account for some unintentional mistakes, which can be pardonable or rather I think such members are not even punished by the Mylot in the form of banning! But I am really concerned about those members with malafide intentions and they want to cheat the site, in order to make some quick money! If this type of people will manage to sustain their clan on this site , it won't take much time to send this site to the dogs! I have seen a couple of sites shutting down during last 6 to 8 months of time. The sites were similar in nature but was severely infested with the cheaters! So I think for the good health of this site and for the sustainability of this site ,the cheaters should be banned permanently from this site and for this Mylot should have some solid programme! Hopefully they are having one by which they are eliminating such undesired elements from this site! Thanks for responding!

I doubt whether that is possible. MyLot can easily track these offenders with their IP addresses. However if what you say is true, my lot should take care to ensure that such offenders do not go unpunished. They should be banning ipaddresses rather than accounts. However that cannot stop somone from creating an account with another ip. Thats the real problem. However there should be some mechanism to avoid this.

Hello Dear Amit! Welcome to Mylot! It is very much possible and people are doing it on this site! Banning IP addresses is no a solution as from a single IP all the family members can open accounts on this site! Under such circumstances just because of one member how the site can impose ban on all the members using the same IP. And again as you said , if one wants he can create account from any new IP to reappear as a new member! Mylot administration must be having some fool proof method to ban the hard core characters who are creating trouble on this site with their mischiefs which are chronic in nature! Thanks for responding!
