Hello my friend, Do you have paypal account? Because as I heard alertpay is not yet available in the Philippines (not sure) but paypal sure because I have already. If not yet applied for paypal first thing you do first is apply for Unionbank (Eon Card) tell them that you will use for paypal. After received the card then apply for paypal -follow the instruction in the application. If you have paypal account make sure the name in paypal account and bank account should be match problem will encounter, that's why I told above first in the bank because bank details should be the bases. I hope it help to you... see you around

It should be because it is necessary for paypal. Last time, I first applied to paypal and accepted but I miss to put my Middle Name or Initial (surname of my mother)when I applied to unionbank I put same name as I put in paypal but unionbank said you should first applied here before paypal. So I've done to communicate paypal to confirm my name to be completed as my bank details, Paypal said need proof of changes like driver license and other ID (send a copy to them) then after a couple of days, accepted my changes... you should do the same... or else you never get the money from paypal... hope it helps to you.. see you around

i think the most common way of verifying a paypal account in the Philippines is through an Eon card. As you mentioned you can apply for one through Union card. I think you can get one for 500 pesos. you should then load it with 150 or 200 just to be sure because paypal takes a few dollars for verification. but dont worry because they'll give it back once you account is verified. you can check out unionbank's website to know more about the eon card

at unionbank a TIN number is required before they allow you to have an eon card. this makes eon card only for those who have a job and not for the unemployed.

Hello cowboyfhell - I don't think so, when I applied to Unionbank last April I just fill up the application form then 2 ID's or driving license. I pay 250 pesos for initial annual fee then advise to add deposit for 200 pesos, then I have Eon Card to be used for paypal withdrawal. If you have this eon card paypal account become "verified" account meaning your account has been connected to any credit card or debit card or bank account.
But if as of now you don't have those bank card, you can also continue apply for paypal and can be credited your amount in your paypal account. As soon as you have money in paypal it is time to apply for card in Unionbank. But make sure your name (complete: name, surname, middle name) are match for both application or else you can encounter problems... Alertpay I have no idea if the same proceedure. see you around

okay, lets start with alertpay. you can only verify your alertpay account thru credit card. its because thy don't have that option for our country. for paypal, you can verify it using credit card, debit card (like union bank's EON card) and bank account. In order to use the EON card however, you must first use it in your purchase transaction (like paying in a shopping malls). I use my credit card to verify my account over paypal and also link my BPI bank account to withdraw my money at paypal. so far, i don't have any problem with it and I already withdrawn all of it. Withdrawing though had fees over paypal. But if you withdraw over PhP7000.00, fees are lifted. But BPI will charge you with PhP150.00 for the transfer. I haven't withdraw yet at alertpay, but I'm sure it will be the same with paypal. The good thing about alertpay though is that they have a referral program (just like here) wherein you will earn 10% of what you referral will have. My advise is that you should read carefully the terms and conditions as well as rules of the two sites to prevent from any problem to arise. Afterall its your hard earned money that at stakes here.

hi... Thanks for it... I have another question... I have 3 names but when i registered on paypal i used only my 1st name.. And i disregard my 2nd and 3rd name.... It is okay if i only register my first name in applying in union bank?but my id's has 3names..they will accept it?because some people said that the name on my paypal must be the same on my unionbank account...
The 350p will be a fee for making the card?and no other further charges? They said that there will be a yearly charge on my account?

ridois -- How are you taking your issue. Contact paypal through phone or email and take it up. What was the reason attributed for your not being to take 400$. I am worried.

It's also as easy using a Mastercard or Visa credit card. The reason why Unionbank's Eon card is popular in the Philippines is because it is both a Debit card which allows you to use it to verify your PayPal account, and an ATM card which allows for easy access to your money once you transfered it from PayPal to your bank account.
