There are basic necessities like food, water, air, shelter, and clothing etc., needs a man, without which survival of the body itself is not possible. The rulers have to provide all these necessities to those who are needy of these necessities. But against this the leaders, in greed, started earning crores of rupees illegally for themselves and forgetting the welfare of the people. In these back drop, is it possible to provide all the necessities to all the people?

It may not be possible to provide all the necessities to all the people but at least an honest effort should be made from the authority who are supposed to provide those.

It is possible to provide the Necessities of everyone on the entire Planet. The Planet Earth does have the ability to support and sustain a massive number of Life forms on it. The issue is that Communism or any system set up like this has always ran into the issues of greed and power. Inorder for a society to be like this we would have to stop thinking on a small national scale but a Global scale and the interest of the entire planet. Not just our local interest. This is something that could happen in the near future which may be several hundred years away. We are starting to see it now world Culture is changing and well if it goes on the path it is currently Humans may have a United Language (most likely English) and a United Culture or Idea which with these two things you could build a Society of which everyones needs are met and well in this dreamed of society Greed would be a thing of the past because we would in this world have Robots or other forms of technology that would take care of everything for us so no one on the planet would have to do any work not even maintenance the Robots as we would use Artificial Intelligence to do its own maintenance which computers are able to do. Also with this form of Society Money would be non existent because cost would be nothing but the Resources of the Planet we would be what they call a Resource Economy and we would be interested in ensuring the needs of both the Planet and ours where being maintained. Also with this economy or world Ideology we would no longer have to worry about Oil as well we would use much more efficient means of energy production most likely through some of the Green Tech we are researching right now. Also Trains would span the world as Planes are not nearly as efficient as Trains when it comes to moving people or goods these trains would move through means of Electro magnets in a near frictional less environment. So yes it is completely possible and will most likely be the future of Humanity if we survive the transition form where we are now to where we very well could be in the next 100 years.

Hello mallu. I don;t believe it is the job of the government to provide the necessities of life. The job of government is to keep the country safe from the out side and from with in. The job of government is to make sure the the people are free to find jobs and provide for them selves. If the government was to provide the living for everyone soon everyone would stop working because of being discouraged and expecting a hand out, then where would the handouts come from?. Oh I know take from the rich and give it to the poor. Soon everyone would be poor.

I hate to answer a question with a question, but please clarify - The rulers have to provide all these necessities Why is this? why dont people provide for themselves? Why/when is this the job of rulers/government? Trust me when I tell you, self sufficiency is far more rewarding

Despite what my above comment might suggest I am a supporter of people supporting themselves and working to do that.

What I find funny about this comment, was that prior to 'greed' when government controlled everything... were you better off? Look back before 1990. As bad as poverty is now under 'greed', how bad was it back then?

Providing necessity is certainly something to strive for. if we can achieve this, we would be giving something to all of the world. Whether it isposssible to achieve is clearly up to us.

In the USA we are guaranteed "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness". When our country lives up to those precepts, our citizens are able to find work and pay for their necessities. Mostly, Americans do not want or expect handouts. However, when our government falls down on its promsises to us, there are problems. It's an ongoing thing but we're doing pretty well. We've learned in the last 50 years or so that those rights apply to women and African Americans. Right now, we need to come to grips with the fact tha Muslim Americans we'll come to understand those rights belong to us all and we'll all be able to survive and live well.

I have to agree with the poster above me. It is not the job of anyone to provide for anyone else. If an individual wishes to provide for other people, then that's one thing. But to mandate that someone in charge must provide things for people is a huge mess. Personally, I think the attitude that people need to sit around and depend on "rulers" to provide them with things is how we ended up with so many "rulers" in the world to begin with and with so many needy people. If mankind ever collectively got the light bulb over their heads that no one needs to be in charge of people but for the people, then we could be on our way to peace and prosperity and all these other things so many mistakenly assume must come from on high. Who put the greedy in the position to be greedy?

Well, theoretically, yes. I mean, at the moment, we still have enough land area and enough materials to provide shelter for everyone. Food also is still enough to to feed everyone. But what you said is true. A lot of those in power as well as the rich people have in one way or another are the cause for some people lacking the basic necessities to live.

In a straight answer yes, they can provide. But actually we cannot put all our primary necessity to them because we have also a part to our own welfare and requirements. I know that some leaders are croaks but some are straight and can help anyone... see you around
