Yes Cher was the first! I mean with the outrageous outfits! Then came Madonna and now we have Lady Gaga,for example! I wonder if Cher had an enfluence on them? I grew up watching the "Sonny and Cher Show". She was wearing crazy oufits back then! She even does still today! So am I right or what?lol!

Cher certainly wasn't the first! But she has consistently been well dressed in front of the camera. Again, I disagree with your term outrageous. Cher is rather skinny and doesn't have the best of figures, yet she manages to look good without being 'cheap'. Madonna and Lady Gaga aren't in the same league - they belong on the street corners!

Maybe Cher was not the first but Madoona and Lady Gaga come after! When Madonna first came a star she looked very trashy and I didn't like her fashion or understand it! Cher,when I grew up,I thought some of her outfits were out there and I still do! At times I wish Lady Gaga would stop dressing like she needs to be on a street corner! As long as her fans like it,she'll do it!

I grew up listening to Sonny & Cher and everyone is right about her outfits they were so sexy she looked so good all I could think about is trying to look like Cher I still like her and I do think that she she had a lot of influence on Madonna & Lady Gaga but still Cher didn't look like they do they are very different in their own way but in my opinion Cher really looked nice

I was too young to understand about the fashion but I did watch The Sonny and Cher show. But I was a teen in the 80's and I loved , loved Madonna.I'm not into Lady Gaga as much but I like her very much.

When I wa young I really didn't get Cher's fashion but she was not like anyone else at the time! I still think Cher can be out there once in awhile. I never got into Madonn's music or her crazy fashion in the early 1980's. Now there is Lady Gaga. I don't care at all for her fashion but I do like a few of her songs from her new album!

I think you could be right. I just wish some of these women would cover themselves up better. Some of the stuff they wear looks very trashy and they do not have to totally dress that way.

Lady Gaga looks rather trashy with some of her outfits! Espeically some of her latest outfits!
I never understood,when I was younger,why Cher showed so much skin and the same with Madonna! I realize it now but all 3 do go overboard!

I was really a great fan of Sony & Cher they are the best ones I listen to when I was a teen ager ...But to day I will always like Cher and Madonna, But not (Lady GAGA} I wouldn't waste my time to listen to her I can't stand GAGA.

I have liked some of Cher's music over the years and seen some of her movies! I never have liked Madonna! Fashion or music! I really don't care for Lady Gaga's fashion but I do like some of her songs off her new album which I had heard thanks to friend at work who has it on his IPOD.lol!

HI blue packer: You are right. Cher has been a really good artist for, I don't know, 50 years? And she is well known for her outfits. Unfortunetly, some Gaga fans love her so much that they prefer to ignore that there are so many other good artists behind Gaga. I am not saying that she is not good because she is but before her, there was Madonna and Cher too. She has not created this style.

Cher started to hit the scene back in the mid to late 1960's with her her first husband,Sonny Bono,as a duo. In the 1970's through the 1980's and I believe the early 1990's Cher had a solo career and of course she is an actress. She had some crazy outfits and then came Madonna who I never liked for her fashion or music! Now we have Lady Gaga! She is way out there somedays but her fans are eating it up!

Hi blue: I respect your opinion but in my case I love Madonna. I consider her a good songwriter and singer and even if you don't agree at least you must agree that she is already a legend. She is a big inspiration for almost the pop generatiosn after the 80's. And now about Gaga, I think she is good on her performances but some of her fans love her so much that they ignore that there are so many other artists that have been here for decades and that have changed the way music has been done.
