Well, this is not really about me. It is all about my parents. They just arrived yesterday from a two-month vacation in the United States. They do this every year. I believe that they truly deserve this because they work almost all-year round. It is also great as my father gets to spend time with his siblings!

Vacations are always great. My husband and I sometimes take small ones, just to a few cities away, where there is a very large international population. It feels like we are traveling, without going really far. LOL We live in Canada, so there are people from everywhere, around here. Our favourite place to go is Kitchener, where there is a huge Croatian population. When we save up enough money, we are going to go to Quebec (specifically the city of Montreal). The thing about Canada is it's so BIG that in the time it would take for an Indian to travel to Sri Lanka, for example, we are still in the province of Ontario. LOL

It really depends! We finally did mae it to Montreal, and we traveled 8 hours by train each way. We went with my mom and step-dad, so we had lots of company. We stayed at a hotel, M&D stayed with M's brother and SIL. Montreal was wonderful! We took a day to travel, and then had a nice dinner, spent the next day with family, did what we wanted on our own the day after, and then on the Sunday we all met up and went home. I am planning a trip to NYC, and since I don't want to spend as many nights (the hotel in Montreal was free because of Air Miles!!) I am going to fly there. The flight is only an hour, and it's only a few hundred miles. Much closer than Montreal.

That is wonderful. I hope my husband and I are able to enjoy a vacation sometime since we work seven days a week too. We are trying to pay debts off first so we can enjoy.

I think it is great to be able to get away every now and then, I hope everyone would be able to do so yearly.
