Dog pooping in front of my house

I would certainly look for the dog owner and give the person a piece of my mind. As to getting rid of the dog from coming over, that's a tough one unless you'd put a fence over your property. I mean, is there such a thing as a dog repelling chemical for plants?

The reason this dog keeps coming back to the same spot, is he smell his scent there, so he thinks that it is HIS spot to go. Kinda like laying claim of his land. What you can do to get rid of this issue, is spray bleach, or vinegar on the same spot that the dog keeps coming back to. The smell will not only cover his scent, but will not smell good to the dog making him walk away!

Hi. yspmyl. If you know for sure whom the owner is, you can confront them about this. If not, if you are renting, I would let my manager know what is going on so they can confront the owner and they can get this straightened out with them. The owner of the dog should have more respect for your yard and others. It is not fair that you have to clean up someone else dog's poop. And three times at that too! I think that management should not allow any dogs to wander around the property of others, something should be done about this and I mean fast too!

This also happens before in my place. Good thing that the baranggay imposed no stray dogs or it will be impound when they caught your dog outside your house. Since then,i don't have any trouble cleaning dog poop everyday.

Great. For Chinese, it is a good sign of prosperous. For me, I shall leave it there. Once a dog poop at a place, other dogs will poop at the same place too. I believe they are making a remark at that place. In order to stop them pooping in the front of your gate, I suggest you to flush and cover the smell where you find the dogs' waste with other perfume or some other scented detergent. I am sure, the dogs can not recognize the place anymore. ha! ha!

thats nasty when that happens. all you can do is watch out for the dogs and owners. when you see it happen tell them to clean their dogs mess off your yard.

Hi yspmyl, such similar undesirable matters happen in my house surrounding every now and then as well. My neighbor living on the left keeps many cats. She lets her pets roaming here and there all the time. It's awful that her cats like to sleep under our cars parking at the porch often. I don't mind they stay but it's disgusting that the little kittens would leave their poops somewheare near the cars often. Cats usually will dig a hole and poop and then cover them with sand or soil. These cats do this often near my vegetable seedlings. Some of my baby plants become withered and couldn't grow well for they have spoiled their roots. Worse still nasty puke of the cat was left on the floor sometimes. This really makes us feeling sick. We have to take trouble to do the troublesome cleaning as well When the irresponsible cat owner was told she just uttered some cunning smiles and never said that she would take care of her cats nicely and didn't allow them to come over to house again Happy posting

I would probably be the one cleaning up after the dog. You can be sure if i can i will be waiting for the dog]s owner the next time to inform them of my dispreciaation for the mess they leave behind. the dog owner should show respect to where their dog is doing their business.

Oh! that's really disgusting yspmyl. If i were in your shoes, I might not be able to control my temper. I might explode haha. Well, anyway if it does continue to happen everyday and you can't find the dog who's doing it as well as its owner, I suggest you file a complaint in your neighborhood association or barangay regarding your problem. They might be able to help you or maybe you can put a hidden camera in front of your house to catch the dog. Ok goodluck! Hope you can get rid of your problem once and for all.

I am a big lover of dogs, but when it comes to dogs leaving poop in front of my house, that is not amusing at all.I had that same kind of problem and there was even a time when I would wait for that dog ready to hit him with ready stones in my hand. I just can't approve of owners of these dogs why do they just let them loiter and litter on the streetI have two dogs and I pick up their poo poos every day for almost 6years now. I think the owners of those stray dogs needs some lecture on their responsiblity to their dogs and to the community they belong to.

Wow.. that is really unlucky, having 3 dogs poop in front of you gate.. That happens to me sometimes too- unfortunately no one really owns the dogs here. We just cover it up with ash or something so no one would step on it..

Omg sorry to hear... I see people nearby put on their lawns PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG. Maybe you should sit infront of your home before you go to work or wherever and see who it is. Probably the same person.

Talking about series of unfortunate events. Those events are a nuisance to everyone. I remembered I have to clean up the dogs and puppies poops every time they do it! I sometimes feel dizzy whenever I clean the poops. I guess it's already a normal thing for me to do every single day.

I dont allow dog inside the house. My dog is always outside. I always take care my dog.

I hate it when people don't take care of there dogs and cleaning up after them is taking care of them. I would look for the owner of the animal and if that didn't work I would contact the city about it when I seen the dog doing it again.

If possible, can you set a trap in front of your house, and next time the dog comes by, it might get scared itself. If I have spare time, I would wait for the dog come back next time, and see who is its owner, and file a complaint against his/her pet. You know what, dog poop at the front yard too, while I was mowing the grass, I saw some poop just there, yuck.

You could catch the dog, or dog and owner by using video camera.
