How artistic are you?

I've always been creative! When I was younger, I didn't play with other kids besides school, so I spent my time creating toys and such or draw. I excelled with projects at school - that was my favorite thing to do. In high school, I took a painting class and discovered that I could paint. Through a fellow artist friend in the class, I also discovered the many fields one could go into as an artist . . . so I graduated college with an art degree and become a graphic artist. I also love writing too - particularly free form writing - like letters or being on myLot (this site has been perfect for me!). I used to roller skate as a kid - later in life as an adult I figure skated on the ice and was able to compete and perform - as well as cross train in ballet, jazz, hip hop, yoga, and ballroom dance. These days I'm a full time mom and can't do much for myself, so the form of art I take part in now is kids crafts - hee hee! My husband is an artist as well . . . and both my kids are showing signs of aritstry too - it's in their blood!!!

not so sure about that i can play classical guitar, enjoying music especially classic and jazz, and also enjoying medieval paintings

With all due modesty, I consider myself to be exceptionally artistic. Both my parents are artists, and I inherited the artistic gene, with all its faults and advantages. Life's not been easy: I'm a substance abuse survivor who perhaps should not be here But I consider myself to be a good actor and singer. I'm also a writer, songwriter and musician, and still developing as such! I love creativity with a deep passion. I'm a natural dancer; but I've never studied it, and once demonstrated the potential to be a good sketcher. But I never pursued these. My true artistic passions are music, acting and writing after all. In the end though, we owe all our gifts to God; so there's no room for me to boast!

I am artistic in my words. it is something that has always come naturally to me. if i had to draw a picture or molf from clay, i would not be artistic at all. Thaat is not where my talents can be found and we all have talents. /sometimes we are just not aware of them,

Like you i can say that i am into art myself but art doesn't like me much. As a child i like drawing cartoons and painting but i don't have the talent for it. I painted some murals on my walls and my mother-in-law thinks it's very pretty and others as well but not as artistic as i want it to be. They look ok but not excellent. I love singing and was in a school choir from grade school to high school. I was into dancing too and i believe i have the talent for ballroom dancing but not the modern dance. I really love ballet and wanted to dance like a ballerina but i didn't have the opportunity when i was young.

Hi friend, good to hear about your creativity and artistic works, i am interested in writing articles and member of various writing sites. Apart from it i like to draw, during my childhood days i draw a lot of paintings and participated in various drawing competitions.

I has always been good at drawing. I can use photoshop in photoediting, but I haven't tested how skillful I am. I never danced in college, but when I danced, I can remember the steps very well, but I don't think I'm that good. I can sing, but my voice is not angelic. I guess my artistic skills only lies with my hands that can make out of anything (I can draw, write good stories, build something, etc).

Does this mean you are artistic for doing and liking those activities? If so, then it means I am too... I do like singing (even with an off tune voice), I do like dancing (often I stepped on partner's feet), I do draw (others won't know what I drew), I admired painting (most of the time I didn't know what best of the painting)...

I in the past did photoshop being somewhat like a designer, artist, paintings, but its been a long time since i done that again, although i would really want to get started again but my work won't let me :( to busy work.

You're in my team! I like very much drawing, painting, and even sculpting.. But now I'm working as an economist and got very lasy with my talent... What do you think about that? And I write pretty pretty also :))

i think i have tried various forms of art...traditional and digital arts i have tried.....done some painting, clay modeling, 3d animation, singing, some poetry, wrote articles that speak my mind, when i was younger im into dance too, i love acting on stage, did some directing work too before, scriptwriting, singing in a choir and videoke ......i guess what i love most is the singing and the writing....thats why im glad i found this place because it has a lot of discussions that i can join into and share my ideas....
