Anime / Manga Crossovers

Crossover is when two or more anime / manga titles are merged into one story. I once read a manga crossover about Rave and Fairy tail. I guess it was a one shot deal and it was possible because they had the same authors. It was nice and funny. Then it came to me, has there been any other crossovers released? That would be really interesting. What do you think? And if given a chance which anime / manga would you like to have crossover releases ?

I also read the crossover of Rave and Fairy tail! It was really nice and funny since two mangas are formed into one. And the fact that most of the characters have same traits. It was really a funny one! Plue was the only one that is familiar to both mangas. If there would be another crossover, I would like to see Fairy tail and One piece. The idea that Perona and Juvia will be fighting. It's just going to be epic.

Yea i notice it also because of Plue. Its from Rave. The crossover is great and i love the theme they are using. Using magic power is not bad. And very funny too.

I saw that too but haven't gone into reading it. I like Fairy Tail but I can't seem to get into Rave though they are both from the same mangaka. I tried watching Rave twice but both times, I couldn't finish it. I'm not really up to date with the Fairy Tail manga either. I remember I read until the part where the identity of Zeref is revealed. There are many crossovers in the history of manga. The most classic example was the One Piece/Dragon Ball crossover. The crossover happened when One Piece was still new and it was to help promote One Piece. More recently, there's the Toriko/One Piece crossover (anime and manga) and Sket Dance/Gintama (manga) crossover. I think crossovers are fun to read, especially if it's from 2 different mangaka as you can see the imagination of 2 mangaka clash.

I love east meets west type of crossovers, In other worlds Anime/Manga meets American comics/Cartoon. Although by far the only one that makes it happen is the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Anyway Marvel comics signed a deal; with the Anime studio Tatsunuko to make a Marvel vs. Tatsunuko anime (Tatsunuko is the company that created Evangelion, Yatterman,Speedracer,G-force and Cashern) So soon we can see American characters and Anime classic characters in 1 OAV.
