I think Barcelona would win too, I think they are too classy for Manchester United, they are playing so well and Manchester would be able to stop the machine.

@iwrite: I have always believed that we cannot always predict things in football...The same goes here, my friend...On paper, they might be favorites to win - they have won the very same fixture back in 2009 in Rome...But I don't think United will let that to happen again...
Barcelona will need more than just class and luck to win against United this time, believe me...

Well the prediction is not 100% correct. however comparing the two, I felt that Barcelona has a better team on paper, while United struggled a little with the season. Barcelona was full of class and see how the demolish other teams including Real Madrid.
But even saying that, the ball is round and one the final day, the performance might just be different from the rest of the season.

@iwrite: Sorry if you felt offended of what I am saying, but I totally don't agree to play football on the paper...Indeed Barcelona is a good team - frankly said a very good team - but I can't see them defeating everyone every time...even mice sometimes have their day over cats...
Nevertheless, let's hope for the best in the final...Let the best team wins! Glory Glory Man United!

I hope for it to be exciting too...
I was looking forward to the Barcelona-Real Madrid clash.. but the first half of the first Champions league match was boring as hell.. the second half was better because Messi displayed his magic.
No matter who win, let's pray for a fair and exciting match.
Glory Glory Man United!~

@poohgal: That's very true of you! Perhaps it is because of the fact that the ball is a sphere - you never know where they are going to stop rolling!
Nevertheless, a final should always be an exciting match - no team wants to be dominated after fighting all their way there...Any team will fight for their life in such an important fixture...
By the way, I am also a United fan...Glory Glory Man United!

@rising3: I believe that Barcelona is an obvious favorites over Manchester United...Nevertheless, I believe United are not a team to write off in any game, particularly when something is at stake...You always think they will slip up, but most of the time they will not...
When them days come, you know any team is unbeatable...Hope the final will be one of those for Untied...Glory Glory Man United...

If Man United park the plane and hit Barca on the counter and score the odd goal, then there is a chance of winning. Another method Man United can win is through a sending off of a Barca player.

@surveysprofitblog: I believe the best way to win a football match is by playing your best cards - don't let others' card affect your card play...I believe United is best to attack when it comes to counter attacks, but I don't think we will see much of counter-attacks in this fixture, so I am looking for another approach from the gaffer...
Send off a Barca player? Sorry to disappoint, but they haven't got any in the last 10 years... That is how you play your "UEFA cards"

I think that this Barca is the greatest team of the last 10 years but I think that United will defeat them in a match with many goals.. Go united

@maximus1985: I would take that as a yes and a no...
barcelona is arguably one of the best football teams in the world, with the likes of Messi, and Xavi on the ranks...Nevertheless, United is not a team that has won nothing over the years...They are Manchester United, and in the last five years they have won four titles and this will be their third Champions League final...I don't think they can be written off yet...
Glory Glory Man United!

granny2011,
I believe everything is indicating a Barcelona win but I think we need to consider a few factors before jumping on that it is going to be a walk in the park for Barca.
In the first place let's not forget that the venue is not Camp Nou but in Wembley which slightly favors their opponent Manchester United. So it will depend on the form of Barca's players namely Puyol, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Villa to be no short than 100% for the match.
Unlike Camp Nou, I believe Barca will need to pull every resources they have for this final. One of it will be their physical where they might be traveling by road to UK if the Icelandic volcano ash does not let up.
As for Manchester United, I believe they have their own problems as well, starting with their prolific player Ryan Giggs where news of his recent exposed tryst would somewhat bring about some unsettling effect on the team.
The next thing which I am sure is on everyone's mind now is that million dollar question - who will be the best person to stop Messi. Messi has been for the record, been unstoppable throughout all the tournaments' matches and it will really be a challenge for any opposing team.
So, I have to say that this will be a very close match with a promise of a nail biting and exciting match. I would say that the first team to score would be the eventual winner with Man U to be in my books to score first and create an upset with a narrow 1-0. Otherwise, I would see the scoreline of 0-0 going into extra time.
In conclusion, I hope that the match will be short of theatrics to influence the match and referee.
