Hey there myloters. I want to know how far is humanity with robotics. I live in the US, and my schedule gets really hectic. In the near future I would love to invest in a robot assistant. Does anybody know if we are getting anywhere close to building an effective robot that will assist humans?

Computers in the early eighties could control your household lights, your heating system, and a self dialing burglar alarm system. So by now, we should have been highly advanced, having our entire home fully automated, and perhaps the robot assistant you require.
So what went wrong? Answer = Microsoft! These crooks didn't want you to advance. Only they could advance financially with the software that they stole from IBM. From that time when IBM DOS magically reappeared as Microsoft DOS, the future of computers was firmly halted.
Even today, computers are allowed to get faster, but not to cross the Microsoft imposed limits. You cannot attach a simple electronic on/off switch to your computer anymore, let alone any robotic device. Windows wont allow it!
So what we did in the eighties is no longer possible. Mankind has taken a massive step backwards.
