I am just wondering while reading some info about photo-video bag. How many photographers will actually take out DSLR with a group of lens & then laptop?
Maybe I am just too much a beginner. Normally I only take the camera with me. Possibly when I go out traveling & I want to share the images with my friend, I will think of buying a backpack & bring my laptop with me.
Thanks for sharing & happy posting.

Hi chrissieatu
I think that is a very good discussion :)
I bring my laptop only in business trip or for a big vacation. I am agreed with bobmnu, for his opinion.
The usually things that i`m caring with me for shooting are two or more Compact Flash cards :). I am taking a lot of pictures, and they are in RAW ( 10MB for one ). You get the idea ;).
Only if my trip is for shooting something special ( some insects, special landscapes, portraits or etc. ) I am bringing with me my accessories - Filters, Close-Up lens, Tripods, Binoculars, other Lens and many more :)
Best Regards :)

Hello mrvenom.
I think you are more of a prosumer for photography. You actually use RAW format. I am one of those beginner with DSLR system.
More oftenly,I only carry out the camera with kit lens. Now I just feel like the kit lens is not quite enough.
Happy posting.

Hello.
Prosumer is what my friend and I use to describe pro consumer:-)
I totally can get the "black hole" idea. I said to my photographer friends, if someone robs a photographic group, that someone will be really rich
I started taking photo with DSLR this year and didn't have my own yet. Maybe in the future I will invest on the DSLR system.
Have a nice day.

Tripod is too heavy for me to take out. I have a tripod & monopod. Maybe next time i will think about taking a monopod with me.
Have a nice day.

When I am traveling I take both the DSLR and my laptop. But when I go out to shoot pictures I only take the DSLR and use the lap top later to check the photos.
i can see a Pro who is shooting for a magazine and needs to get just the right angle or to see the effects of different setting would take the laptop because he can not always go back and recreate the photo.

I think taking the DSLR is already enough for me because it is big and heavy. I am not so professional to bring different lens. And I don't have to bring the laptop, too. I have a portable disk and I can insert my memory card to it and it can store the photos automatically. I can modify my photos when I am back home by my computer.
I love China

I agree, only DSLR with kit lens is heavy enough for me.
That's why I wonder why some photographers can take that heavy set of gears out, and plus a laptop.
Now I am looking for a highend DC which can make photography easier for me.

Just my opinion. THose pro photographer guys out there have tons of gears always with them is because not all of the things that you want to cover is attainable by your kitlens. Example is, If your on a trip to somewhere and your at a jungle or forest, If you want a macro shot of the flowers, insects etc. you can't shot it with a kitlens rather, a macro lens, on the same place, you want to shot a panoramic view of the landscape you are to switch your lens onto a ultra wide angle lens. And for the Laptops. those professional guys want to post process immediately their images using their laptops rather than waiting to get home just to process their images. Or if it is required for them to immediately submit their work to someone.

That's totally right about the lens. Even as a beginner, I wanted to use differnent lens other than kit lens.
For the laptop, I think you are right. I really want to see how the pro works myself.
Have a nice day.
