Dare I add that we should cultivate good habits from an early age & they will serve us well for the rest of our lives? We have enough bad habits already - why not invest in some good ones?
Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (KJV)

God give us freewill.
God only gives us some example and guidance, but God never keep us on hold.
We are given our freewill ,so it's our prerogative whether we choose good or bad, follow HIS commandment or not...it's our own choice and freewill.

Hi Jaiho!
I just can't help but comment on the term "free will". Free will seems to be over used and misused by people nowadays. Although I agree with you in some point that free will is for us to choose what is good or bad, however, God wanted us to do and choose what is good. Why? because it will be useless if we say "I believe in God" yet we fail to follow His will (what is His will? for us to do good and choose what is right over what is wrong). Remember Matthew 7:21? "Not everyone that saith to me Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but He that doth the WILL of my Father, he shall enter the kingdom of heaven." See the verse? not everyone who says he/she believes in God shall enter His kingdom; but those who do HIS WILL. The genuine free will is for us to do what is good and avoid what is bad. God bless!

Being devoted is one thing; being fanatic is quite another. Devotion is good for us & benefits others too. Being fanatic or extreme is often harmful to yourself or others. We should take care that our thoughts, words & deeds are helpful & useful to others, to enlighten their own bodies, speech & mind, should they give permission for us to do so.
You know yourself that God is not concerned with outward appearances. In Matthew 6:7, KJV:
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou
hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy
Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
God's will for us, for our short stay here as guests upon this earth, is simply to bless this world & to know God. How each of us arrives at these goals is up to us, to some extent.

I believe that it is more important to live a life that is harmonious with other full of peace and love for one's fellow human beings. Living a life like this will over ride all the religious fanaticism in the world. My religion is in my heart (which is God's temple), and in the way I interact with my fellow human beings. Action speaks louder than all the words in any holy book.

Hello Jaiyanz!
I think the devotee who attends Mass or Church services every Sunday is just a manifestation of his/her faith in God. The will of God for us is to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Moreover, to believe in His Son Jesus Christ and to do His will. Now, what is HIS will? To be an agent of peace, hope and love to others especially the less fortunate (financially and spiritually). To be able to be of service to others is the best way to manifest this faith in action.
