Could Somebody Help Me To Understand My Adsense Account?

I am so confused. I see lot of impressions but that is the only thing I see. The rest of the number are zeros. I have been with the account like three months. I have like 13 articles with hubpages. Last month I made mi first and only cent with adsense for now. I don't know if this is normal or not. I mean, I know it takes time but I don't know if is normal to see just numbers in the impressions and everything else in zero. I will appreciate if somebody with more experience can explain me a little bit better how this works so I can understand. I started a few weeks ago with the hubpages ads program and I have .55 cents now. How is this possible? Is much less time and more money. That is why I am so confused.
