I agree that old Nokia phones are lot better compared to the latest we have in the market. Quality wise due to its durability and its much cheaper and practical. However everything is changing as it is constant. From just a simple phone for texting, at present mobile phones can connect us to internet world where everything is easier and updated.
Nevertheless, as what Filipinos used to, we go for what is in trend.

hello aaronthejustice
the only problem with nokia is they do not want to get rid of their plain old symbian platform which make them grow in last past decades. they have to understand that technologies has evolved and has gone far from their platform. they should adopt MeeGo or andriod which are the developing and current one. they have merged with Microsoft for mobile platform but am not a big fan of microsoft ....

hello hemantbatra0
indeed true, the sustainability of these new mobile phone is very low. you have to be very careful not to let it drop in hard surfaces. but the operating systems are very good n user friendly.
i wonder if nokia uses the same old phone with new operating system leaving symbian out .... O_O?

Old mobile phones have always been safer than the new ones, especially those who operate on the Android or Windows Mobile platform. New mobile phones are trendy but are more fragile and precious.
Despite all of these advantages and disadvantages, however, I prefer a smartphone

yes i agree with you, old phones were very strong and had good battery life despite lacking on applications. BUT i used to use getjar to download apps for symbian platform based phone.
Talking of windows phone there is new windows mobile OS coming in market.

Hello,
I missed my old Nokia too. My old, simple, and blue-colored
Nokia 3310. I got a few of Nokia mobile phones but, I still kept my Nokia 6020. Although it's a cheap phone, it holds most of memories in my life.

hello ItsOnMe
i just did quick search and my old nkia model number was 6230. it was good phone, i got it as present from my parents and it was latest on the trend
but the one i want to have even now, just for show case, are nokia 7110 and 8801 because of its slide up functionality.
