Picky eater, already a tween!

When my daughter was about 2 years old and was just starting to eat solid foods, I noticed that there were some foods that she just would not try. As she was growing up, her food preferences became even more limited - mostly pasta, pizza and chicken. Her pediatrician told me many times that this was just a stage that most kids go through.
Now I'm getting concerned because she's almost 11 years old now, a tween (as she calls herself) and her eating habits have not really changed. The only veggie she eats is potatoes and tomatoes (translation: french fries with catsup!). She does not touch fruits unless they're in candy form :(
Any moms who have the same problem with their kids?
I appreciate all your inputs! Thanks!

As a grandmother of three picky teenagers I can tell you they usually will at least sample my homemade soup which I put a lot of vegetables in a chicken, turkey, or beef stock. Noodles or rice added to the soup makes it even more appealing to those young taste buds.
